'It's a blood bath': Inside the White House blame game as backstabbing staffers and score-settling pundits rock a Democratic Party in crisis

16 Nov 2024 ~~ By Emily Goodin & Nikke Schwab

As the results started to pour in on Tuesday night last week, an optimistic mood in Kamala Harris's team quickly dimmed.
With the writing on the wall, Harris herself went to bed, refusing to concede defeat to Donald Trump until the following afternoon. By then, a Democratic blame game was already in full force.
'It's a blood bath,' one observer noted of the rabid infighting – with no one spared humiliation.

Commentary:
Trump predicted a blood bath and Democrats have obliged him by backstabbing and blaming each other...
This is great. Pelosi is destroying the party.
Joe Biden has seemed pretty happy since the election. I wonder who he voted for?
Harris refused to outline her plans, but she did say that her beliefs haven't changed and that would have been destructive to our country. She couldn't manage a billion dollar campaign fund. I don't even want to know how much tax money she would recklessly have spent and probably would have destroyed the United States
It never occurred to Harris and her Neo-Marxist handlers that a large portion of Americans wanted the economy fixed, the cost of living reduced, taxes lowered, insurance costs lowered, crime rates reduced, illegal immigration brought under control, government spending brought under control. Those were issues were most important to most people than N-M Democrat identity politics.

Daily Mail? :icon_rolleyes:

Well this must be the "blood bath" everyone was giving Trump grief about awhile back.

Put a Band-Aid on it, Dems. It's just an ouchie. :laughing0301:

Well, they can't blame the DEI appointment that led to their humilaiting defeat now, can they?

As you will recall I called a Trump landslide moons before the election .

So now naturally there is internal fighting .

Your worry is the next stage when they pause their internal blood letting and begin open dissent .

How best to deal with the Extremist Lefty Mutants ?

Why was this OP even put up? Is this about dumping on the losers? How does this OP in any way be of help or create a topic worth discussing?

Many such cases.

Anyway, any crisis in the Democratic Party could have been avoided in 2016. People wanted change, Sanders was there, he was popular and fresh (despite his age) and the party leadership shoehorned in Clinton instead. It's no secret that there's a divide between the Democrats' constituency and their leadership. Same phenomenon is present in the Republican party, except there, the ancien regime was worn out, so Trump took over, thereby better representing the constituents.

If the Dems had picked the VP based on ability and competence, instead of Female Blackness, they might have won this election.

Kamala Harris is the poster child for what’s wrong with DEI.
That was their downfall, not doing a primary and picking the right candidate. Not being able to speak without a teleprompter is a dead giveaway the candidate is useless. Harris and Walz were just a cackling duo. Biden was two scoops ahead of the Democrat back stabbers.

It was almost like a satire movie showing what is wrong with DEI: Two candidates running for president, the one picked for ability speaking at length on a wide range of issues, and the one picked for DEI purposes lapsing into a few repetitive phrases (“32 days left”….”that’s 32 days”….”I mean it, 32 days”….”so….32 days”) when her teleprompter breaks.

What's done is done. We need to be talking about what needs to happen and not about what happened. Understanding what happened (so it can be fixed) is a fair topic, but this OP was not about that, it was simply about dumping on the Dems. That is useless and damaging. No benefit possible.

That's how most users on this site are, I think. I'm starting to remember why I left when I last had an account on here like...5 years ago or so.

I have consider leaving as well. When my ignore (based on insulting and debasing comments) list grows to the point that there are no Republicans worth even communicating with, I will leave. There is no reason to stay when the cesspool is everywhere around you.

I think...I dunno. It depends on a variety of issues. Honestly, the boards that aren't political are quite pleasant. I had a good discussion yesterday with some other users about Steven Seagal movies which I quite enjoy.

Ignores are for pussies. Add another one and go away.

I understand and I do have several boards here where the topics have been good and I have participated and gotten good stuff back. Nonetheless, this is mostly a political board. There are other places where board on things like movies and music, etc. are much better than here.

So you are the kind of a person that accepts unnecessary debasing and insults as something that is valuable? That makes you a bully and a person with no value. In other words, (a piece of shit). With me saying that, you think I have any value in continuing to talk to me?

If you do, then lets go at it. Let's see who can debase the other most, no?
