Jews cleansed Palestine of 700,000 Arabs in 1948, and hundreds of thousands of those refugees went into Egypt and Jordan. Gaza had 50,000 to 60,000 people living there before Israel came into existence, and it had over 200,000 when Israel's "war of independence" ended. How would you expect the governments of Egypt and Jordan to respond to an influx of hundreds of thousands of refugees?

They left, they were not killed or exterminated. Arabs told them to leave and they did. Israel asked them to stay and they made the choice not to.
