Christianity has been every bit as militant as Islam.

What is amusing is that before WWII, it was the Christians that treated the Jews like garbage, and the Muslims who were relatively nice to you, until you screwed them.

Yes the crusades were violent but they occurred to repel the Muslim invaders from Europe. The crusades occurred mainly in Europe, unlike Muslim Jihadis who attacked the whole world.

You see all religions as one type of fruit, so to speak, rather than as the assorted types in the fruit bowl they are.
To you and many 'Leftists' religions are all apples of different outer skin colors and slight difference of flavor, but still "apples".

To those of us who have studied history more, and also the diversity of cultures and ethnics, we realize that religions are not all the "same fruit".
Key differences in scriptures, dogma and theology make religions more like a basket of assorted fruits. While some may be variations of apples; many others are oranges, or lemons, or bananas, or grapefruits, or pineapples, etc.

So in this analogy~metaphor, I see Christianity (in general) as a sweet apple while Islam is a sour lemon !

Consider religions as ideologies/philosophies with Deity/Deities attached and this may help to grasp the nuances of differences.

Key difference which you and many ignorant Leftists fail to grasp(or intentionally distort) is that Islam has actual words/texts/scriptures evoking the violence and conquests of non-believers whereas in Christianity it is a matter of distorted translation~INTERPRETATION rather than literal word of the scripture.

A MAJOR difference of dogma which you (and others) either fail to grasp or INTENTIONALLY Distort !
