JohnDB because I already agreed with you that Trump's security team was a joke, but this is chilling.
Cole was likely hiding out of line of sight of the officer....the dog alerted but his handler was unprepared, not well trained, unused to the dog.
Dogs and handlers must be trained together intensively to be any good.
And that's why Cole snuck by. Because immediately after this he makes a run for it.
The dog and handler is not as much an issue as much as the open and unlocked door.
It's a security breach to have an open, unlocked door to a room like that....and we see why.
But NOBODY did anything about the room or the door. Barely let the dog in it. At this point the very expensive, highly trained dog might as well be an emotional support animal for how his handler is using him.
But this is what happens when those who failed the most at Butler PA are promoted and your buddy is in charge of your security....who really sucks at Security. (Despite really being a buddy and talking a good game but being lousy at being in charge of security)
Some of this is Trump's own fault. His security chief is his own doings. Granted, he doesn't know who to trust to get a good one....especially when the ones wanting to off him are in his inner circle or extended circle.
Trump is on the move A LOT. Meaning theres supposed to be a lot of planning beforehand and security checks and securing travel routes and locations before Trump arrives.
It doesn't look like they are taking any of it seriously.
In the future, I wouldn't hire his former team if I needed security.
