I disagree - because I do not share into "generalization"

That there are murderous bastards amongst the Iranian government and security services that will do anything to protect their power and wealth is understood - just as in ALL other countries.

Iran like many other countries share a different culture and societal understanding - it's not up to the West to lecture them whilst supporting other regimes that act in the same manner. And illegal wars and bombings don't make us look better for sure nor do they help to "promote" our Western standards to other cultures.
