The oil industry was just starting the boom cycle when Trump took office. A boom cycle usually last about 4 years. Just like now, Trump took office at about 1/4 into a boom cycle.

If he's lucky (again) the next bust cycle won't start until he's on his way out.

American energy is determined by the oil/gas companies.

In Trumps last year, April of 2020, he struck a deal with US, Mexican and Saudi oil producers to "DECREASE" oil production, setting off the oil bust cycle. By June, (5 months before the Trump/Biden election) US oil companies were issuing record number of layoffs to AMERICAN oil field workers.

The US has never PRODUCED more oil than it's used. Trumps lie has to do with exporting more refined petroleum than we were importing. Fuzzy math & a sales pitch.

Fact: US oil producers produces more oil under Biden's 4 years, than Trumps. They also received way more profit under Biden, than Trump. All that, even after entering office during the beginning of a bust cycle.

STATE taxes, formulas, restrictions etc. The States can elevate prices (see WASH state). AVG across the USA is almost meaningless when CA is $5.19 where people live. AZ is next door at $3.60 in the county and $3 in PHX? Still don't know why that is?
