Illinois was able to close their entire budget shortfall with increased revenues from gas taxes due to the sky rocketing price of gas. The state owes Donald Trump a thank you for the revenue. Pritzker and fellow Democrats are building their November general election campaigns around the issue of affordability, blaming Republican President Donald Trump and his allies for cuts to social programs and for rising prices on necessities — most notably gasoline, which has jumped from an average of about $2.91 per gallon in Chicago to $4.82 since the Iran war began in late February.

You're saying that these dem states have rigged the gas tax system to gouge more money from their tax payers and are guilty of social injustice since this effects the poor and minorities more than the rich white people. Maybe you could post a link from your duplicate thread of when the price of gas under Biden was even higher than the price of gas now. I don't remember seeing your same post back then.

No it's nothing to do with tariffs....this thread is about the budget in ILL, and you claiming it had to do with the price of gas, when it in fact has to do with the hundreds of millions of new taxes and tax increases the dems are putting on the working class in Ill
