The U.S. nationwide average gas price has climbed to $4.30 per gallon as of Thursday, according to data from the American Automobile Association (AAA), a four-year high, as American drivers feel the squeeze at the pump.

Gas prices rose 7¢ on Thursday, up from $4.23 on Wednesday, according to AAA data. The last time average U.S. gas prices topped $4.15 a gallon was in April 2022, shortly after Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Gas prices have been rising since the U.S. and Israel's war in Iran began on February 28, when a gallon cost $2.98.

The Supreme Court won't be able to bail you out on that.

Try again Skrewy. June 2022, Bidens average gas price was $5.02. Gaslighting doesn't work anymore. Educate yourself moron.

The volatility of the oil market was pre-Trump. If you own a gas guzzler, aside from work requirement, then that’s on you. My 4-cylinder is great on gas.
Sure. The New Republicans are lying again. They have to. Scalise said gas prices were over 6 dollars just two years ago. The highest average price rose above 5 dollar for about 1 month in the summer of 2022. Which was the Covid Bubble combined with Russia's attempted conquest of Ukraine. The oil market had stabilized after OPEC+ increased production. It's been down hill since then, until Benedict Donald started his war against Iran.

Under Biden the price of gas was higher for only three months (May June and July) than it is today.

gas prices are transitory. This isn't a policy thing, like the record high gas prices the Dems gave us, it's only because of the Iranian regime's desperate attempt to hold on to their oppressive regime, and desire to get a nuke

Oil prices are reactionary and can jump based on not only actual policy and reality, but also policy speculation and lies.

Sure.

Right now they are just transitory due to the iranian regime desperate attempt to maintain power

Back in the 2020s it was because of demafasict policies

I don’t recall this concern over gas prices under Obama and Biden. I recall complaints that the US was too dependent on fossil fuel and that we needed to switch to green energy immediately (Green energy not yet viable to support the economy). I also recall all the excuses as to why gas prices soared under Obama and Biden and how their policies had no impact on prices.

These seemingly “complaints” from the Left about gas prices under Trump are just noise. The Left cares most about criticizing Trump; not high gas prices.

It’s weird cause literally in 2008 the dems voted for higher gas prices. It was the policy and goal of Obama to raise prices

Covid was responsible for the crash and rise of gas prices that started in 2020. They only rose again in 2022 because of the Russian invasion. Also, the price of gas was only above 4 dollars for about 6 months in reaction to Russia's invasion. US Oil production has not slumped in response the Putin's war of aggression, it has increased. Not that the increase is tied to the war in Ukraine. The US Oil Patch just keeps climbing the mountain.

Obama and Biden didn’t have much to do with the increase in gas prices.

But Trump does, because the increase is completely due to the war he decided to start.

Russian invasion had an impact on domestic prices but so did Biden-Harris policies as they signed executive orders on Day 1 unnecessarily restricting and limiting domestic energy companies. If the US domestic energy companies are producing gasoline prices at record levels and prices are relatively high, then demand is not being met. Capacity is maxed. No infrastructure to support growth.

Does the military operation in the Iran impact gas prices? Absolutely. The difference is that is a short term cost towards a long term goal of mitigating instability and threats from the Iran regime that have been in place for 47 years.

Gas prices reached an all time high in the summer of 2008. Both McCain and Obama were pissing energy and oil.

There was never an option for an immediate switch. The reality of it is, the switch will never happen until it is economically viable. For example. Coal. In 2008 nearly half of our grid was powered by Coal. Today it is less than 20% and Renewables account for more Gigawatts
