But what you're suggesting is raising taxes for a year to recoup losses from waiving taxes now for 90 days. But surely you known that after recouping those taxes after a year, taxes will not be lowered to what they were. So taxes remain increased.I believe that it is on our government to make some kind of effort to reduce the suffering that Americans are feeling right now. Some of that is through higher fuel prices. Easing the fuel prices now, which would save drivers on their fuel could be offset by a 1-3¢ per gallon future increase when prices are back down. It could even be time limited.
