Glaciers are not formed by cold temperatures alone. They need precipitation. So the answer I imagine is in the different weather patterns and precipitation in Greenland v. Alaska.

Virtually all the world's nations, informed by virtually all the world's climatological bodies, have analyzed all the accumulated climatological data, and confirmed the reality of anthropological global warming.

No monumental conspiracy by nations or by climatologists to falsify the climatological reality has been shown to exist.

No credible case that spewing millions of tonnes of industrial waste into the atmosphere does not affect the atmosphere has been contrived.

Nuanced differences in various aspects of global warming exist, but there is no viable scientific thesis that refutes it.

Denial of anthropogenic climate change appears to be driven by ideological dogma, not by climatological data.

John E. Kutzbach, a pioneer of palaeo-climate modelling, had a grand vision for how we might better understand past climate changes — and better predict the climatic future1. In his view, climate research should seamlessly combine models and proxy data, which provide an indirect measure of the palaeo-climate when direct data are unavailable, using certain chemical species preserved in the environ-ment that provide an estimate of past temperatures. A geologist could tease out a climate record from a stalagmite in China, for example, while a modeller simulated its growth, drip by drip, in a digital cave. Writing in Nature, Osman et al.2 bring us a step closer to realizing Kutzbach’s vision by pairing proxy data with models to reconstruct the evolution of the global temperature over the past 24,000 years, extending back to a period called the Last Glacial Maximum.

combining proxy and model data to tell us we need to spend trillions to beat off CO2. Yet, not one of the warmers in here can explain how CO2 becomes hotter than the surface radiation they absorbed. Weird.
