Since when did Democrats? It is ok for VA to gerrymander just because there may not be anything in their Constitution that prohibits it? A 50 to 49 vote which results in 90% Democratic representation is criminal.

I do think it will be funny though that with the mid-terms being a referendum on Trump and how unpopular he is with the general population, that deluting the GOP vote in Florida could result in more DEM gains.

Nope, in DEC 2025 when the SCOTUS ruled on the Texas gerrymander case - and I paraphrase - redistricting for political power is A-Okay.

Trump and Texas started this to protect power in the mid-terms.

Indeed you should be careful what you wish for. Based on the last Presidential election, if every blue state sent only Democrat representatives and all red states sent only Republican representatives, there would be 250 Republicans and 180 Democrats in the House. That is very close to holding a super-majority.
