Human-Kind is losing support for classic Liberal Democracy.

There had been in the last century three ideologies, Classic Liberalism, Communism, and Fascism.

Classic LIberalism (Liberty) came about after Human-kind has suffered thousands of years of oppression by the powerful. Classical Liberalism is/was the protection of human rights, universal suffrage, and free markets (allowing individuals, ideas and goods to move around the world freely). The Golden Age of LIberalism sought to spread these ideals around the world. (Iraq)

WWII killed Fascism, in the 90's Communism died, all that was left was Classical LIberalism.

For the last 15 years, there is new resistance to immigration, free trade is dying (Brexit and Trump). Governments are undermining the legitimacy of Judicial Systems, limiting a Free Press and calling any opposition treasonous.

Turkey and Russia have strongmen leaders who are both illiberal and Russia is an outright dictatorship. People are refusing to give up racial, national or gender privilege.

The story of Classic Liberalism is disintegrating, yet there is no alternative clearly available. Voters, even in the United States are giving up on the story of Classical LIberalism.

Where do we go? Back to Fascism? Oligarchy of the AI class? Or something new?

The two can essentially work together. Mussolini, the Father of Fascism, called it "corporatism".

Musk, Bezos, Ellison, Zuckerberg, et al.

That's the direction right now, yeah.

What "-ism" does the non-western world live under?

Turkey and Russia were never examples of classical liberalism

I think there is always a trend that people are not currently happy with their lives and want change. So, they vote the opposite of what's currently in. Trouble is, too many voters, particularly younger people who actually vote, don't understand that when you vote in socialism you can't change your mind anymore and vote it back out. Once it's in place, there is no way out. Just ask all the socialist countries who are stuck with socialism and can't vote it back out and all of those "immigrants" who fled to the US because that was the only way to escape their country's socialim. These same voters claim that Trump is taking democracy away and yet we still have a system where they can vote Trump out and bring in socialism. That won't be the same when they wind up voting in socialism and then find out that they won't be able to vote it back out.

Trump's investing government money into private industry is state capitalism/socialism.

I see what you're saying. You're saying that you now agree that socialism is the way and that Trump is your socialist leader. In any event, your side accuses Trump of taking democracy away and yet your side is planning on success not only in the midterms but in 2028 as well. So, I guess even you are admitting that Trump hasn't taken democracy away after all.

This generally indicates a person's lack of education and/or knowledge, as Trump is, obviously, doing no such thing.
Democrats prey upon the emotions of the ignorant because they know they can.
This is especially illiberal.

Nice circle jerk logic.

The reports of the death of Liberal Democracy is an exaggeration!

I always had to laugh when the left falsely claimed that it was the uneducated who voted for Trump and yet democrats are always pandering to the poor and uneducated 24/7 while also claiming that requiring voter ID hinders uneducated voters from being able to vote.

Hmmm. That sounds too binary to me. There has been a rise of fascism within the borders of countries still considered to be classically liberal. Largely due to immigrant backlash, a consequence of Bush's Iraq misadventure and the mass migration from the ME it caused. In some countries authoritarian rule has never been vanquished. In others it's making a comeback.

In times of uncertainty people tend to be attracted to leaders offering simplistic, nativist oriented solutions (trump) to appease their fear and anger. Frequently resulting in curbing or attempting to curb civil liberties and institutional norms(trump).

It is notable that the side screaming that Trump is taking away democracy didn’t have a primary to allow its constituents to pick the nominee.

They say whatever they think they need to say to make whatever point they think they need to make at the time - no matter how much they contradict themselves.
They openly lied about a Trump win in 2024 meant there would be no more elections; the ignorant and the bigoted repeated it like gospel -- and now they tell us about the Blue Wave coming in 2026.
