First SNAP Ban on Candy and Soda Set To Become Law

Come on over and try, difference is I’m spending my money on whatever I want, not asking for fucking handouts and then buying whatever I want with it dumbass

I'm not asking for any handouts, jackass, you miss the entire point entirely. If you had any ability to step back from this matter, first you'd realize that not everyone needing SNAP is on it for the same reasons and circumstances so a one-size-fits-all rule does not apply, then, you just might realize that the tortured rationale you use to justify denying everyone on SNAP the ability to buy even a carbonated beverage is the exact same rationale the Left uses to justify murdering unborn babies as not yet being "human."

You went right to hell and gone in your last sentence. I know you will never feel shame but let me show a bit of prayer for you to get better.

Why should you have to purchase anything for them?

Why should you worry about what they are bringing into their home?
You are such a dumb liberal that you just stay stuff without even knowing what you say!

1) ALL of us taxpayers have to purchase PLENTY for welfare recipients - regular food, their medical care, part of their rent, etc.

2) We taxpayers get to worry about how our money is being spent. And we DON’T wan’t to spend it on candy and soda for welfare people’s kids when we DON’T even buy it for our own kids!

(Hard to argue with an idiot. Sigh.)

This is excellent, and should be expanded to a variety of shit foods.
It should go back to what it was originally indented for, and limited to - essential foods.
But sugar/snack food lobbyist of course paid off congress to keep adding items to the point they can buy practically anything you can fit in your mouth.
All foods categorized as snack foods should be eliminated. All drinks, of any kind should be eliminated with one exception - milk. And only white milk.
All frozen/prepared foods eliminated.

No one has a constitutional right to the full panoply of snack foods on a government card.

2% white milk.

As far as frozen, I’m for frozen vegetables. Cheaper than fresh, and almost as good.

Here’s what we should be buying for poor people:
Eggs, cheese, bread, milk, cereal, ground beef, chicken, fish, frozen vegetables, rice, jars of fruit, tuna, and PB & J.

Anything else: let them earn it.

100% - but as usual, the corrupt greedy congress will make regulations favoring the highest bidder for their vote.

When I was growing up, my father didn’t allow soda at the table. He said it was unhealthy and low-class.

So now I have to buy it for poor people’s kids? These poor people can’t make wise decisions for their children, nor are they even able to feed them, and they should be grateful for whatever taxpayers provide.

I did not allow pop in our house either. (Where I live soda is called "pop")
My kids occasionally had one as a treat, and now they are 30 and 34 years old - and never developed the habit. Neither drink it at all.
It is absolute poison. Unbelievably bad for you.

And cake was reserved for birthdays. And candy was on Halloween only - and then a limited amount.

Snacks in front of the TV was an Apple….a banana….an orange.

The sugar brands certainly are not good.

So that would be like all the money America sends to Israel, it's on the tax payers dime.

So you don't mind giving them your money, as long as you can dictate how they spend it. What if the next idiot thinks they shouldn't be allowed to buy steak, they can only purchase chicken.

they already cannot use it for ALCOHOL or prepared foods----like the already roasted chickens. IMO trying to force nutritious
foods is a losing battle. "Food stamps" are used like WAMPAM
in impoverished areas. The benefit is traded around the HOOD---
HOWEVER I am still in favor of the benefit. With a tiny bit of
savvy----a good mother can keep her kids ABSOLUTELY WELL
NOURISHED on food stamps. That they are abused is sad but
no more evil than the financial abuses on ALL LEVELS of society.
America does not send money to Israel.

I agree with you the fraud needs to be dealt with, but most of the trading isn't in the Hood, it's done with middle class and upper class folks.

What’s idiotic about that, exactly?

oh? how do you figure that? Of course all of us
paying customers have been OFFERED trade---what
makes you IMAGINE that such trade constitutes the
BULK of the fraud? I doubt it
