After 9/11, the world has become very paranoid about the impact of terrorism on modern civilization.

Sacred institutions that see great pedestrian traffic such as the Vatican/City are suddenly totems/beacons of power.

So can media (e.g., CNN.com) offer true negotiation (e.g., Welcome to Sarajevo)?

"As tourists continued to flock to Vatican City despite fears of terrorism, the governing figures worried about the tarnishing of unfettered worship space/time. Modern civilization was sullied by the reality of anti-social angst. Would pornography and vulgarity be the legacy of terrorism?"

"Animation artists penned graphic wolfish villains and villainous beings/creatures meant to signify a modern civilization concern about the impact of anti-social philosophies such as nihilism in this emerging age of commerce-oriented globalization (e.g., European Union [EU]). One such avatar was Cyclonus, a purple-colored wolfish fictional A.I. robot from the A.I. fantasy-adventure franchise Transformers (Hasbro). Cyclonus was a deceptive evildoer who transformed into a deadly jet-fighter and obviously symbolized new age vanities."

"American comics were exploding, and superheroes, aliens, and psychos were being recast by comic book writers/artists as fun, silly, and easily-accessible to the masses. Comic book adapted films were all the rage in Hollywood (USA), and even classic avatars such as Leatherface (fictional chainsaw-wielding cannibal from Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror-film franchise) were being reinvented and re-spun by comic book writers/artists. Was this a time of great marketing?"

"Any movie critic can tell you about the importance of the Exorcist series of films about devout/passionate priests working with demonically-possessed individuals in order to expel the forces of anti-social darkness in minds/souls sullied by 'imagined corruption.' These religious-horror films, not unlike sci-fi horror films such as Leviathan and The Fly, represented new age fears of complete moral disintegration in a time of great 'networking customs' (e.g., Facebook, Wall Street, WikiLeaks, etc.). In other words, everyone was pensive about social hygiene."

"As all this drama unfolded, a crusading young American Internet-blogger named Ajay Satan decided to blog a War of the Worlds (Orson Welles) oriented 'fake news' broadcast of a fictional terrorist attack on Vatican City in the summer of 2018. Only, Ajay's readers thought the news wasn't fake. Suddenly, countless Americans were scurrying around spreading the false news that the Vatican City was attacked by terrorists. President Trump tweeted that the U.S. army would immediately retaliate, suspecting ISIS was the culprit. It was a delicious madness, but was global consciousness becoming bizarre because of terrorism-paranoia (e.g., Olympics-cynicism)?"

GOD: Terrorism has punished the imagination...
SATAN: 9/11 was worse than Pearl Harbor in ways!
GOD: Will commercial activity ever recover?
SATAN: The destruction of the World Trade Center was scarring.
GOD: Perhaps media activity (e.g., CNN.com) can restore 'general faith.'
SATAN: No one wants to see terrorism in Mecca or Vatican City.
GOD: The enduring conflict between Israel and Palestine is frustrating!
SATAN: It goes back to Abraham's sons, Isaac and Ishmael.
GOD: Isaac 'founded' Israel, and Ishmael was the ancestor of Palestine.
SATAN: The principle of terrorism was in theory instigation (not murder).
GOD: Unfortunately, political claustrophobia can lead to madness.
SATAN: Governance is complex in times of great globalization.
GOD: Yes, the Security Council of the UN was meant to serve as a masthead.
SATAN: Perhaps the European Union [EU] can create social stabilities...
GOD: There's hope; commerce always spells etiquette (e.g., Mad Money).
SATAN: What if ISIS decides to attack the Vatican?
GOD: Journalists will need to address the slandering of sacred places.
SATAN: I believe Facebook has become a beacon of socialization idealism.
GOD: Well, Facebook activity is rather friendly (and convenient).
SATAN: What if a serial-killer began stalking people on Facebook?
GOD: What if ISIS invented a terrible Facebook computer-virus?
SATAN: Civilization must weigh commerce against insecurities.
