Yes, the bible is the word of God just as Jesus is the word of God. Just as God gave you a brain to use. Like I said before, the OT is immensely valuable because the accounts revealed a moralistic and providential creator of existence and foretold the coming of Jesus. The Bible is of no value if it was crafted by Israelites.
The Bible is the Word of God. Isn't it?

No. It doesn't destroy my claim. It's not even my claim. It's common knowledge. Try googling it. The OT isn't a Lord of the Rings movie. You want to believe in magic. If you want to believe in magic just think about how God willed existence into being and his creation produced beings that know and create or think of Jesus.No. God inspired the prophets to write what they wrote. God controls the history and He uses history as a means of revelation also. Much of what the prophets wrote they did not even understand. (1 Peter 1:10) That destroys your claim that the Israelites crafted the Old Testament.
Is the Bible the Word of God or not?

I'm happy for you to disagree with me.Something is not right in what you're saying. The Bible is the only written Word of God to man. It is not crafted by the Israelites. It is written under inspiration from God.
The Old Testament is valuable because it is the Word of God. And God was not revealing a 'moralistic' doctrine to man. He was revealing Himself to man. Morality is man's term. Not God's.
Your view of the Bible and your interpreteation of it is not right.

Roughly translated to the metaphorical.I'm happy for you to disagree with me.
I'm happy for you to disagree with me.
I know exactly what I have claimed. I've been very clear and specific. I even know you disagree with it. And I know that my disagreeing with you bothers you more than your disagreeing with me bothers me.Yes it was your claim. You claim the Israelites crafted the Old Testament. I don't get my understanding of the Bible through 'google'.
If the Old Testament was 'crafted' by Israelites, it may as will just be a novel like any other work of man.
I'm not the one who believes in magic. I believe all the supernatural miraculous works God reveals in the Bible. Do you believe all those. No, you do not. To you they are just stories crafted by Israelites. Again, that is a damn lie.

I disagree.Be happy all you want. But it's not me you disagree with.

So true. At least he shouldn't anyway. The bee doesn't spend much time attempting to convince the fly that honey is much better tasting than shit.
I disagree.
Yeah, the first 2 1/2 minutes of that clip explained it really well. I found him to be most credible. The first 11 chapters of the Torah demand a great deal of effort and intellect by the reader to understand. Hacks like TNHarley don't stand a chance.A fine bit of interpretation.
I don't think I can say it any better than... The bee doesn't spend much time attempting to convince the fly that honey is much better tasting than shit.Disagree with what? Do you believe that all the miraculous events recorded in the Bible are true, really occurred as described. That everything in the Bible actually happened and is true? Do you believe that?
And, if they are not true, then how are they the Word of God?

Talk about self-owning hypocrisy. You contradict yourself constantly, and the evidence?Your bible is just the word of man.
Why? What would be the point? I don't have anything else to add. I'm more than happy for you to believe whatever you want. It's called free will. If that is good enough for God then it is good enough for me.You could answer the questions I asked. But you know when you do, it will be seen that what I have said of your doctrine is true. You may as well throw that Bible away. Your bible is just the word of man.

You are so out of the loop with every scholar on the planet. Look, Hebrew letters are not like English or Greek letters. Each letter represents a word, thought and idea. Layered symbols of something more. Good grief. In fact, developed from Egyptian hieroglyphics. UgggNo, I showed you that the Old Testament is not symbolic. It is not to be interpreted 'symbolically' as you claimed. Jesus showed you the literalness of the Old Testament record. That is completely different then what you said.
The Transfiguration also proves the literalness of the Old Testament.
And, I asked you, 'who said the Old Testament is very symbolic?' No answer. And I showed you the oxymoronic statement of yours concerning (1Peter 1:20) and your statement that people have a right to their own understanding. Totally false.
If you believe the literalness of the New Testament record, why do you disbelieve the literalness of the Old Testament record?
