Zone1 Physical Proof of the Book of Mormon?

I do admire your zeal Cougarbear.....
but if I were to be baptized as a Latter day Saint then I would not be able to convince hundreds... thousands..... even tens of thousands of ex-Mormons to begin to attend the local LDS Ward again.........
and be relative quiet and non-divisive.

I may well be attending a branch from the former WWCG soon......
I do try my best to apply my own advice.

Worldwide Church of God = WWCG.
Have you convinced one ex-Mormon to begin attending their local LDS Ward again? Hardly since you aren't attending. You would be viewed as a hypocrite, which your actions and words would tend to label you as. If you start attending each week a local LDS Ward, you would gain credibility. And, if you were baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, you would have more credibility. I have no idea why you would think you couldn't convince others the Church is true just because you joined. In the first place, that's not your job to convince anyone that the Church is True, Jesus is the Christ, Joseph Smith was a prophet, The Book of Mormon is true and contains the fulness of the Gospel and President Dallin H. Oaks it today's Prophet of God on the earth. Your job is to get people to study the scriptures, meditate, study and then pray to Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ to know if it is true. For the honest and those truly seeking truth and with complete faith in Christ will receive convincing from the Holy Ghost. It's the Holy Ghost's job to testify and convince. Not you.

Good question.....
so far I am not sure because so far I can only do what I feel I should do through internet forums such as this.

Actually it isn't evidence at all.
The piece of the paper from 1828 in which contains the symbol that is also in the picture on the mountain done in 100BC - 200BC is physical evidence. I know it's tough to throw off your normalcy bias. But, it's definitely physical evidence. :itsok:

I don't see it. There's no match. Show me the match.

I am so busy researching near death experience accounts, by Latter day Saints and by people from all religious backgrounds, that I simply cannot invest the amount of time in the Book of Mormon that I suspect that it may deserve. I did finish a Degree in Theology over these past six years and I am still working on an online, Degree in Chaplaincy. After that, who knows?!

I also feel called to participate in the open door that discussion forums like this give all of us. I am reminded of Revelation chapter three when I use the phrase "open door."

If I could afford it I would be very interested in attending Brigham Young University in Jerusalem, Israel, [but that is several years in the future, [God willing]?

I can guarantee you that not one person has been re-baptized that was excommunicated. Because you don't do what you have to do with the knowledge you have. Instead, you drift to a church that is not Christ's Church. Or, you want to be Jewish or something. That's because you have a double mind and the Holy Ghost won't testify to you and convince you. You have to do what James and Moroni taught when praying. You have to pray with real intent, faith not wavering, no double mind...

No.....
you cannot guaranted that....
Do a search for "Third Hour discussion forum" and see if the name DennisTate or Dennis Tate, does not pop up there as well?

There is an official LDS discussion forum that works a lot like United States Message Board.

All Latter day Saint Elders that I have met since 2018 know that they know that they know that "open doors" is a huge promise.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. 7 And to the angel of the church of Philadelphia, write: These things saith the Holy One and the true one, he that hath the key of David; he that openeth, and no man shutteth; shutteth, and no man openeth: 8 I know thy works. Behold, I have given before thee a door opened, which no man can shut: because thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will bring of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie. Behold, I will make them to come and adore before thy feet. And they shall know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I will also keep thee from the hour of the temptation, which shall come upon the whole world to try them that dwell upon the earth.

2 Timothy 3:7 "always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth"
Ecclesiastes 12:12 "much study is a weariness of the flesh"

If your understanding of the "truth" is the best understanding that is possible as of March 4, 2026, then you are correct in your rebuke to me.
There are a lot of people more interested in consuming knowledge without a purpose and then using it to damn themselves or others. Eventually, it caused irreputable harm. A cousin of my wife married a guy who was like you. Always learning things and sometimes would get consumed in on aspect of life like what you do with near death experiences. When my wife and I went up to BYU, they went along with us with the idea he would start at Utah Technical School (Like a Junior College) and then transfer to BYU the next semester. Well, the next semester came around and he said he was accepted and taking classes. I found him one day sitting on a bench outside. I asked him what his next class was and he was evasive. Turns out, he never did apply to BYU. He wasn't working and they ended up going back to California. This became a continuous thing while he was consumed in learning about all sorts of things on his own. Eventually, things happened and they divorced. The weird thing is they didn't fight over anything. He just went on his way and became a painter of houses and buildings until he died a few years ago. Nice guy like you. Always leaning and consuming knowledge that did not help him or anyone else either. I went on the that website and signed up. Not much going on there. Lots of old posts. Like I said, I doubt anyone has been baptized because of your posting. It takes the Holy Ghost.

Do you believe that the Holy Spirit only works in and through the Mormon church?

Do you believe that the Holy Spirit only works in and through the Mormon church?
If that were the case, I would not have converted. Note I said the gift of the Holy Ghost, not influence of the Holy Ghost. The difference is the gift is received by the laying on of hands by one with authority of the Melchizedek Priesthood. In this case, the Holy Ghost resides continuously with the person and acts upon that person in righteousness. When that person does something wrong, the Holy Ghost withdraws and the person definitely feels it to the point of causing one to repent to get back that gift.

The influence of the Holy Ghost comes when a person asks God with real intent, with faith unwavering, without hypocrisy or double mind for guidance. But does not reside continuously. It’s that added protection by knowing right from wrong that the gift provides.

Now, there is one other thing that helps those without the Holy Ghost if open to it. It’s the light of Christ that is in all things. “Let there be light or truth.” It’s your conscience not influence of the Holy Ghost. It’s not the further light and knowledge that Father in Heaven promises all who seek Him in righteousness. It’s simply the basic knowledge of Good and Evil that makes us like gods.

No, it only resides in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There is no Mormon Church. The keys of the Melchizedek Priesthood were given to Joseph Smith by the laying on of hands by Peter, James and John who received the Melchizedek Priesthood from Jesus Christ. From there, it has been conferred on down to this very day to worthy men in the Priesthood. There’s more but that is the simple answer.
