Democrats face a catastrophic loss of power by 2030

I believe North Carolina is the preview of the future for the Republican party. While North Carolina has been solidly red until recently, it used to be blue, back in the day, Hell, William Jennings Bryan and Adali Stevenson won the state. But over the last twenty years the Republican party, in power, acting like tryant quite honestly, are quickly turning this place into a shithole.

Is that why everyone wants to move there?

The left eventually destroys everything it touches.

And there it is with that stupid ass illegal immigrants voting horseshit.

It's not about illegals voting, dummy, it's about population and electoral college votes. Read a book or something.

OMG. So, let me see if I understand this. Illegal aliens, counted in a census, will inflate the population numbers of a state to create a "shadow" Congressional district, an extra district. Riddle me this, just how many illegal immigrants would it take to create a Congressional district of average population?

Another morning, and another view from Fantasy Island where only red voters leave red states. I mean here is a thought, if you Republicans got this great geographical movement why the hell you got to spend all that energy redrawing districts?

Come on, don't you think many of those leaving those blue states are going to be Democrats? You reckon some might bring their politics with them? And let's face it, Republicans face their own demographic problems, most of them are old and going to die soon, most of them are white, which will be a minority soon, most of them only have a high-school education, which means they are going to be economically challenged.
They are not Democrats though. The party needs to be renamed.

Personally, I believe Republicans have overplayed their hand in North Carolina and they are going to face a backlash "like no one has ever seen before" (channeling Trump). Will it happen in 2028? Probably not, but 2030 will be ugly. They have gutted the governor of almost all his powers, the weakest in the country. Once they took majority on the supreme court it was Katy bar the door.

They took control of the utilities commission and now North Carolina residents are looking at a 17% increase in utility rates. Why, because for some crazy ass reason the state legislature now allows power companies to incorporate the cost of FUTURE investments in their cost calculations. Essentially, asking North Carolina residents to prepay future investments, WTF?

And again, Republicans have a veto proof majority and yet the clowns can't even pass a budget. Not for one year, not for two years, we coming up on three. I mean for the love of God, what business can operate three years without a budget? For that matter, how can a state?

Today the primary reason for demonstrations is the public education system, "Kids over Corporations" they are calling it. We rank 50 out of fifty states in spending per student. And yes, Puerto Rico also spends more. I mean I know it is not all about the money but we also rank 46 in teacher pay. You got to give it up to the students though, in face of declining spending and declining enrollment they still are in the upper half of the country, but slipping quickly for reasons like the above.

The public universities is where the real decline shows. At one time, North Carolina was ranked only behind California in public higher education. Now we are like 15. And the sad part, North Carolina residents have a CONSTITUTIONAL right to free public universities, "as far a practical", which has been their go around.

And honestly, hard to see why people move here. Five years running North Carolina has been ranked the WORSE state to work in. And while every state in the country has a regressive tax system, North Carolina has slipped to the bottom half of the country and will continue to decline as Republican tax cuts go into effect.

Public health has continued to decline. Our infant mortality rate is among the ten worst in the country. And quite honestly, that infant mortality rate should be the focus of our Legislature right now, it is disgusting. But here is a recent example. Schools offer eye and dental exams to students for free. It used to be almost 80% of students participated, when it was an opt-out system. The Republicans changed it to an opt-in program. Now only about 20% participate. How many children will go through their entire academic career failing to see the chalkboard. I mean it is as if Republicans are doing this shit on purpose.

Come on, tax payer dollars going to wealthy individuals sending their kids to private schools? How does that make sense? I mean my sons kids will be starting school soon. I am quite sure he will go the private school route. But if he takes that tax break I will kick his ass. I think he knows better.

Hell, we have discussed those Blue areas. Well now the Legislature is telling county school boards and county governments what laws they can and cannot pass. Worse, now they are placing caps on property tax increases, WTF? If a local referendum passes who the hell is the state legislature to over-ride that? Why?

The commies marching in downtown Raleigh are part of a National Commie day for the teacher unions.
NC is not supposed to have teacher unions - but -

It's all funded by Soros, indicisable and the rest of the phucking big money Democrats.

(almost everything that you posted about the state is not true, btw.)

Illegals don't generally get welfare but their LEGAL, American-born children do. A 2026 analysis from the Cato Institute states that immigrants consume 24% fewer welfare benefits per capita than native-born Americans, and noncitizens 53% less.

Least we forget, TX and FL have very high numbers of undocumented.

You would have to be a phucking moron to believe that shit.

You can take that commie shit and shove it where the sun don't shine. North Carolina ranks number ONE in corporate friendly states, and flipping 51 in spending per pupil. "Kids over Corporations" seems quite appropriate.

One example of how Republicans in North Carolina are actually chasing away people. Take the North Carolina School for Science and Mathematics. An innovative residential program for high-school students. You got to qualify to get in. Back in the day, those students got a full ride to any state university and they took advantage. When they graduated, they stay and make North Carolina home. Now, no more scholarships and the vast majority study out of state and move out of state.

BJ- rates this Mostly False -

Graduates of the school receive significant financial benefits including a 4-year tuition grant to any of the 16 universities in the UNC system.

Democrats face a severe loss of power due to population leaving their states. radical left wing beliefs, lack of any real plans, no candidates for president, low approvals for democrats in the house, failed policies during the Biden administration, and the SC ruling on redistricting favors the GOP and hinders democrats. Democrats opened the birder to replace lost population in their states. Now its closed and 3 million have been deported this year. In fir years thats 12 million deported.

Democrats are facing a long-term Electoral College crisis that is much bigger than Donald Trump over the next few years — and is at least partially of the party's own making.

Trump carried the Electoral College by a 312-226 margin in this year's presidential race against Vice President Kamala Harris. But by the end of the decade, Democrats may be dealing with even more difficult electoral math as population projections suggest growth in red states like Florida and Texas will outpace growth in big blue states like California and New York.

Since 2020, there has been a significant population shift away from Democratic-led (blue) states toward Republican-led (red) states, driven by high living costs, taxes, and housing shortages. Top-losing states include California, New York, and Illinois, with residents largely moving to Florida, Texas, and the Carolinas, altering Congressional seat distributions.
The Washington Stand +2
Key Trends in Population Loss
  • Top Departing States: California, New York, Illinois, Washington, and Oregon were the biggest losers of families between 2021–2022.
  • Exodus Intensity: California lost over 172,000 residents while New York lost nearly 120,000 from 2020–2025.
  • Destination States: Migrants are primarily moving to Republican-controlled states, with Texas, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina leading in gains.
  • Demographic Impact: The losses are causing several blue states to lose Congressional seats due to reduced population counts.

Well Biden let 10 million in, in his 4 years.
Do the math.

Created sanctuary cities to attract them to democrat states then gave them free benefits to buy loyalty. 3 million a year are going and a GOP president can order them not to be used in apportionment but count them separately. Democrats are so screwed

Trump is right, we don't need no stinking Constitution!

I am sorry but you seriously have to be one of the most delusional posters on this board. First, it takes about 750,000 individuals to create a Congressional District, but in blue states, with larger populations, it is going to take over a million. And that is just in one state.

And sorry, the president doesn't get to create a special class of people. Illegals are counted they are not eligible to vote. But children are counted as well, they can't vote? Do we put them in that special class too. And honestly, do representatives only represent voters or do they represent all the PEOPLE that live in their district? Well, at least per the Constitution.
