""Electric vehicle sales are Booming in the U.S., with purchases nearly Doubling over a year ago.
That trend is chipping away at the long-held narrative that drivers aren’t ready for electric cars, and it’s leading some analysts to recalibrate their predictions.

“We used to have a lot of very definitive forecasts,” said Tyson Jominy, vice president of data and analytics at J.D. Power, a global consumer intelligence company based in Michigan. “We’ve had to kind of blow those up because the rate of adoption is going much Quicker.”

Last year, electric vehicles accounted for about 2% of all car sales. This summer, that number jumped to nearly 5% of light-duty vehicles like SUVs and sedans and more than 20% of all passenger vehicles sales, according to recent data

“EV sales are pretty much going Gangbusters,” said Ryan Gallentine, a policy director at Advanced Energy Economy. “You see automakers moving to start building EV-only assembly plants and announcing these new battery manufacturing facilities — to me that says they’re betting their business on EVs.”

This week, Ford Motor Co. and SK Innovation announced plans to spend $11.4 billion on new production sites in Tennessee and Kentucky to build EVs and the batteries that power them. The company, along with General Motors Co., Stellantis and others, anticipates that 40% to 50% of car sales will be electric by 2030, which is in line with the Biden administration’s plan...."

Actually I'm on record saying this is why you don't need the mandate

Tucked inside the reconciliation bill is a provision that would offer a $7,500 EV tax credit. An additional $4,500 incentive would be available for union-made EVs assembled in the U.S.,

Throw enough tax dollars at something, a lot of stupid things will happen.

Moreover, all those tax credits benefit the wealthy who can afford a very expensive second car as a novelty.

At present, Tesla cars are not eligible for a rebate, and they are still sold out almost to 2023.

Technically, ev sales are up 1,000%

Last year they sold 1, this year they sold a 1000

It is easy to make 2 sound 100% more of, 1
Tesla will almost double the amount of vehicles it sell next year over this year. And would sell even more, but that is the present limit of their production. When you are selling all the product you can produce, you are doing very well, indeed.

By 2025, or even sooner, the EV's will be less costly than ICE's in all classes. They will outperform and have more range than ICE cars, and be far less costly to maintain and fuel.

Our President is investing in EV infrastructure while all auto manufacturers are increasing EV production and options

yes, when you sell all the product you can and still receive billions in government subsidies that is really sticking it to the American public. Hell, the whole world's public.

No company in history has received so much free money from the government as Tesla and Elon Musk.

You are such a silly liar. Tesla paid back it's loans early. And our fossil fuel corporations have received far more government subsidies than Tesla ever has.

Loans? Loans are not the subsidies Elon Musk receives. State and Federal Regulatory credits that are sold for 100% profit. Over $500 million in subsidies in just three months!
