So I guess roundabout 2018 someone posted an all-yellow liminal space on Reddit or some such forum. Maybe one of the chans.
They asked what it was, but no one bit for a year or so. Then, for whatever reason some things on the internet take off, this thread suddenly took flight. People started posting other "backrooms" and a lore was born.
Along comes this teenager, Kane Parsons, who posts some "found footage" involving the backrooms. I will link to that found footage at the end of this post.
Now Kane Parsons is 20 years old and he has made Backrooms into a feature film. Just 20 years old. Incredible. This kid is going to go far.
It is difficult to explain what this movie is about. Basically, a furniture store owner finds a hidden door into an endless void of interconnecting spaces filled with odd objects, sounds, and creatures. It is very imaginative.
The movie starts out weird, then it gets weirder, and then weirder still, until you can barely keep up.
This is a very scary movie. Enjoy.
