Zone1 Does Jesus Love Everyone? Does He Love Everyone EQUALLY?

i'd like to think so Sue.....

because that is an terrestrial interpretation of celestial intent

the 'bigger man' would ........just not sure if i am that man.....

Why should you love neighbor's kids as much as your own? There's nothing godly in that. Love them, yes. Love them like family, not necessary.

God does not love everyone like family.

Luke 15: 7

So Jesus spoke to them, using this parable: “Wouldn’t any man among you who owned a hundred sheep, and lost one of them, leave the ninety-nine to themselves in the open, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will put it on his shoulders with great joy, and as soon as he gets home, he will call his friends and neighbours together. ‘Come and celebrate with me,’ he will say, ‘for I have found that sheep of mine which was lost.’ I tell you that it is the same in Heaven—there is more joy over one sinner whose heart is changed than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need for repentance.

JUB
I say unto you that likewise there shall be more joy in heaven over one sinner that repents than over ninety-nine just persons, who need no repentance.

KJV
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

Right. That sinner is already part of the flock. Jesus goes to find and save him.

You know there are a lot of verses that talk about those outside the flock, right?

It's amazing to me how many Christians do not fully understand that, if they are saved, they are ADOPTED into God's family. Not everyone is.

Believers are Children of God. Until you are BEGOTTEN of the Holy Spirit, you are God's CREATION, but not His Son or Daughter.

Satan is the god of this world. If you have not the Spirit of Christ, SATAN is your father

Amen

It's interesting to me that political Leftists seem to think it's beneficial to say "Jesus loves everyone the same". You know they're picturing Christians pitching fits about whomever they imagine we hate....

But if we turn those tables on them, then we say, "Jesus loves Donald Trump just as much as he loves XYZ" they don't like that at all.

However, true Christianity is not political. Jesus loves everyone. But not everyone equally. And that's not politics; He loves most those who are His own.

He loves all enough to....

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance

He has been dead for 2k years. Has anyone considered that?

He is all loving, and total Justice. It is not just to simply "wipe sins away".

That's why Jesus had to come.
carrot / stick Sue........one can read this into old/new testament.....~S~

I'll cite personal experiences. The first: I am a substitute teacher meaning I find myself among strangers on a day-to-day basis. I love what I do, and I want the students to get the most out of the lesson I have been given to present, so I give it my all--often awkwardly because often that lesson is outside my own expertise. The range of students responding to what I have to give/am giving varies from extremely well to very poorly.

I once experienced God's love, which is indescribable. I wish I could love like that. The one thing I learned from that experience is that God loves all.

The purpose of this post is to propose a change in the question: Jesus loves all equally. Does everyone respond to that love equally? I try so hard to respond to God's love as it deserves. I have had students come up and hug me....I've had students actively avoid me. And then there are all those levels in between the two. I'm the same person, the same lesson, have the same regard--and receive a wide variety of reactions. Could be that is how Jesus feels: The same love encompasses all, but reaction varies?

because they realize an all loving being would not intimidate them into doing so Ding ~S~
Or that they really don't believe what they say they believe.

This is pretty simple. God doesn't separate himself from us. We separate ourselves from God. So God isn't threatening us or intimidating us, but the threat does exist. Most people behave like it doesn't.

God does not love everyone like family.
I think it's important to remember that we are God's creatures. Because if we start from that position, then it's easy to see that he would love us because we are his creation. A good analogy would be how we love our creations. We are beings that know and create. So whether we are making a pie, cell phone or a song, these are our creations. We are most happy when we are using our talents to create.

Youre analogy doesnt work. I dont blame God for anything. Christianity is based on the lie of original sin and the threat of hell to force obedience. It was violent all in the name of Jesus a god of peace. Tell that to the Jews and Muslims they slaughtered
To be fair, violence in the name of Christianity is ancient history. Violence in the name of Islam continues to this day.

Spoken like a religious nutjob attacking a rival religion. Bravo.

truth is hard to accept - yours is not a heavenly religion ...
