Do You Want War With Iran Or Do You Want Peace?

After those conditions are met and verified, Iran might resume peace talks.
Iran negotiated until late in the night today. As for their conditions--the US does not control Israel--the same cannot be said about Iran's support and control over Hezbollah. Iran will continue to use Hezbollah to poke Israel---bargaining in bad faith while trying to get the US to influence Israel. Neither Hezbollah nor Israel are party to these negotiations.

I want peace with Iran.

The ONLY way to achieve that is to destroy their religious nutjobs and hope a liberal government comes into power.

Then the world can just ignore them as the backwater they are.
Appeasement for the past 47 years certainly hasn't worked.

All they have to do is blow up tankers with $10,000 drones and they bring the world economy to its knees.

That's why Trump signed a surrender.
Drones only do minor damage to ships as large as tankers. At worst they start fires, usually just punch small holes.

You are in the wrong nation and wrong part of the world Komrade Joe.
You'd be more at home in China, or Russia.
Your concession is duly noted.

Actually, Russia and China are countries that ignore the parts of history they don't like.

You want us to be exactly the same.

We created this mess in Iran with 75 years of dumb policy. Maybe we should start with some smart policy.

You are right. The US doesn't control Israel.

Israel controls the US. We should probably do something about that.

Trump made the support of Hezbollah (and other militias) part of his complaints against Iran.

Point taken Joe.....perhaps something a tad less than the enlightened self interests of the past would be appropos?

    • On congressional support (1988/1990s): "America is a thing you can move very easily... They won't get in our way." (The Washington Post) [1, 2, 3, 4]

i'll wager now that AIPAC has been 'Congressionally' put in it's place ,said manipulation won't be as easy ......

You miss the point. Minor damage or not, no insurance company is going to write a policy for a tanker going through that war zone, and no tanker captain is going to risk mines and missiles on the hope that damage to his ship will be only "Minor".

This is why hundreds of ships are still in the Gulf, gathering barnacles.

It should also be pointed out, we aren't sending our ships INTO the Gulf, because we don't want to risk them being minorly damaged.

Cheap Chinese drones Joe? I had thought Trump convinced Xi to stop selling them to Iran.....but may be wrong here .....
IRAN can go to fcking Hell
they're well on their way eagle....i'm sure they've convinced their own to enjoy the ride.....

Well, good thing we haven't been doing that.

Instead, we've been waging economic warfare on Iran, subtly supporting Saddam when he invaded Iran (until he turned on us and invaded Kuwait). We were also happy to accept Iranian help in fighting ISIS in Syria and Iraq, or to do deals with them to trade weapons for hostages when that was in our interests.

The thing was, we HAD a working deal with them with JCPOA. Except Trump tore that deal up because Obama negotiated it, and Obama made fun of him once at the dinner he refuses to go to now because people might shoot at him.

The stark perspective of one man's terrorist being another's freedom fighter hits one square in the face here Joe......~S~
Actually, the drones they are using are domestically made, and they have the capability to produce 10,000 a month.
I stand corrected then Joe.......so they do have the means to mess with us

which means they've clout in negotiations.....

I want war and boots on the ground, and I am willing to volunteer all Trump supporters to be the first, last and only wave to make that happen. We need recruitment drives in every red state.

A no win situation with uncooperative sorts on either side....jmho...~S~
Iran has been willing to cooperate with the US ever since the smoke cleared and the Islamic Revolution created a stabile nation. The Islamic Republic of Iran has reached out to Washington on many occasions but the US continues to this very day to play wounded paw :206:and has refused to take Iran's hand in friendship. The Americans just won't admit or accept the fact that Cuba, Vietnam, the Sovjet Union, Russia, Somalia, Lebanon, and Iran kicked Washington's ass. The CIA cannot decide if it wants the world to admire them or to feel sorry for them. :crybaby:

I'll take your word for that. What I do know is that (having superior intelligence in the region) Iran offered to flush out Osama bin Laden and hand him over on a silver plate but Washington refused Iran's assistance. Perhaps the Americans had decided to assassinate bin Laden (rather than let him reveal some secrets the Yankees wanted to keep on the QT) and didn't want any witnesses? :disbelief:

..... The US doesn't control Israel. Israel controls the US.
For decades upon decades I assumed Israel was “the good guy” and that the US controlled them. Nearly every Arab I talked with said that Israel controls the US but I was emerged in the whole psycho propaganda package, certain the Arabs were uneducated idiots .... just whining "like they always do". Eventually, I set out to see the world on my own, not expecting to find any astounding revelations but just to see the sights. What a shock I got to realise that the Arabs are smart and intelligent. They have been trying to tell the world what is actually happening but citizens from the West still refuse to listen.

Yes. Oh yes!
