I've been thinking about this over the last several weeks as we continue talking about a US/Iran peace deal. I'm not really understanding why the deal has to include the Israel/Hezbollah situation. If the US is talking a peace deal with Iran, that has nothing to do with Israel and Hezbollah. It has to do with the US and Iran. Most of the leftists on here (and several on the right as well) think we are fighting for Israel and Trump is just marching to Benjamin Netanyahu's orders and that we should let Israel fight their own wars. So, if that is the case, why would we negotiate away Israel's opportunity and right to do just that - fight for themselves? I say any deal we reach with Iran is our deal only and has nothing to do with Israel. And, Iran should be doing the same thing, making a deal with the US. Why are they wanting to include Israel and Hezbollah? That has nothing to do with Iran, right?

It HAS to. Which is one of the reasons that this will NEVER work.
-It will include the nuclear option-Iran is going to tell them to F.O. with that.
-It's gonna include Hezbollah-Israel is going to tell them to F.O. with that.

THIS IS NOT GOING TO WORK.

Learn to can.

I would like to see a peace deal that included all of the surrounding Arab countries as well as Israel.

I think the inclusion of the Abraham Accords with other Middle East countries as part of the deal was a stroke of genius. Iran needs to know that those other Middle East countries are not on their anti-Israel side. Lebanon would actually be the biggest coup in that regard but Hezbollah has repeatedly said they would not honor any deal between Israel and Lebanon, although Lebanon has always had a history of looking the other way when it comes to Hezbollah using Lebanese territory as their anti-Israel base.

Which is kind of most of the gist of my post, more or less. Any deal between the US and Iran is a deal between the US and Iran.

I will add, however, that, as far as nuclear weapons go, Iran has repeatedly said that their nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only and yet in order to end the war, they absolutely refuse to even negotiate about nuclear weapons and enriching to weapons grade. It's like they're openly admitting up front that they are liars because we would have never even bombed in the first place if they declared in the beginning that they would prove to us they didn't want to make a nuclear bomb by agreeing to whatever was necessary to make sure they didn't enrich to weapons grade or make a nuclear bomb since they never had any intention of doing that anyway.

But it's not. Israel decided to attack first, and the US followed their Jew masters.
Iran is not stupid. They know who wags the dog. They know who calls the shots.
It doesn't matter if most Americans are too fkn brainwashed to admit that fact.
This deal does NOT happen without the blessing of Israel. Full stop.

The US and most of the world and Israel have always been partners, one doesn't lead another. The entire world (except Iran) have always been appalled over Hitler's Holocaust of Jews and are against Iran and their proxies of wanting to exterminate Jews from the face of the planet all over again. Hell, there's a damned Holocaust museum in DC. But, of course, Israel is the most concerned over this because it's their own survival they have to be worried about and parts of their country are only about 3 miles wide and it is all happening in their neighborhood. And, the world is on Israel's side, not Iran's.
