There's an elder Asian lady around the block from me who uses ancient irrigation techniques to keep her gardens watered. She does it all by hand. Literally, too. No tools. I stop and talk to her on my evening walks with the dog, even though she has to use translate on her phone, but she's basically an artist when it comes to sculpting Earth to manage water to get the most from it.
