On AVERAGE, most flora/plants need at least 300 ppm of CO2 to barely survive. 400ppm of CO2 bares keeps them alive but they don't flourish. Most greenhouse grow operations use about 1,200 ppm of CO2.

The whole foundation of the human-caused/anthropogenic climate change ~global warming: ACC ~ AGW HYPOTHESIS is that it's the increase of CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) from @280 ppm to 400+ppm over past 150+ years of industrialization that is causing average global temperatures to rise (slightly) and if those CO2 emissions aren't drastically reduced the Earth's fever (Al Gore's term) will become a raging fire and we'll burn up the planet.

What many of us are still waiting for is the proof that the rise in CO2 is the cause and also a danger.
(Note that is two separate issues that might be related.)
