Zone1 Did you exist before you were born into this life?

All who have experienced and out of body experience have experienced being conscious outside of their bodies and even experience hearing and vision outside their bodies.

As the OP, what I mean by existence before being born is did we exist as a spirit being totally independent from the birthing process of this life.
Oh. That’s a clearer expression. I appreciate it.

There is a somewhat old story about a guy (I think it was Dr. Isaac Asimov) who was asked if he was afraid of death. The reply was something along the lines of: “I was dead for millions and billions of years before I was born and it didn’t bother me a bit then.”

Eternal nothingness could mean no pain. No sorrow. No ability to even think nor feel about such mortal things. An eternity of nothingness wouldn’t even feel boring if we can’t feel anything or think anything.

Faith in Christ is truth...
Then you do not understand faith Cougar

AI Overview

Faith, in its essence, is a belief and trust in something, often something intangible or not yet realized, like a divine being or a future outcome. It involves holding a conviction even in the absence of complete proof. In religious contexts, faith often refers to belief in a specific deity or religious doctrine. It can also mean loyalty, confidence, or adherence to a set of principles.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." "Substance" means "Assurance." Truth! The Book of Mormon is a second witness of Jesus Christ. In it "faith" is: "Not to have a perfect knowledge of things, but rather as hope for things which are not seen, which are true." Why would you hope for something that isn't true? Why would you want to hope for evidence that is not true. Honestly, think McFly, Think!

You prove my point Cougar

If it's not 'seen' there is no evidence , ergo there is no 'truth'

this is why 'Faith' has it's own place and description in this (as well as all) language

That said, there are some 3000 religions on this rock that have faith in that they are the truth

Oh ye of little faith. I can testify that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior even of you. I know this to be true.

I have no proof that I did exist before this life nor do I have proof against it. However I had a dream once that I was a soldier in WW1. This dream was years ago. I was stabbed in the shoulder, and I woke up feeling that pain. Perhaps its a left over memory of a past life. Maybe it was a mere dream.

For those who believe, much of scripture comes from God to man via revelation. So we believe it to among the best of evidences and that it is the truth from the God of truth.

Answer: Sort of.

All consciousness is an ocean and we serve as the raindrops which keep it full, yet the ocean is the source of all raindrops. Every raindrop is an amalgam of the many raindrops which came before it. And the purest of them shall carry this very message through it all.

Oh ye of little faith
Actually i've great 'faith' , despite my history of insane religmo fanatics insisting it truth Cougar

faith and religion being about as mutually exclusive as faith and truth......

If I existed before this life, nobody ever told me about it.

You'd think they'd at least leave a note.
you existed from conception, you had unique DNA at the instant of conception. yes, you existed before you left the ***** canal.

Reincarnation, everlasting souls. Its a fun concept but nothing more than magic hoo-haa like the rest of the mess in man made religion.

Some people believe in one and done. Others believe in one spirit or soul living many lives. For the time being, I don't think it matters much what you believe, what matters now is how you live your current life regardless of whether there will be another one or not.

I don't see works that you have the faith you say you do.

or as well desert dwellers obviously have revelations not just with the heavens - a pass time of communicating somehow with hades is more than obvious.

- in so far as their claims for the truth.

You act as if you know something about hades. So, where did you get that information about hades? Did you read about it in a novel? Please give us your volume of light and truth about God. Can you? I don't believe you can because I've asked for this before and you refuse.

observation of desert dwellers is as good a guideline as any ...
