Enter Florida governor Ron DeSantis, who announced on October 12 that he would be deploying flights from the Florida, at no expense to Americans trapped overseas. The first flight touched down last night in Florida, with DeSantis in attendance and waiting for the evacuees — 270 Americans, 91 of them children — on the tarmac. The optics were a coup for DeSantis, while Trump shouted all caps away on Truth Social, and Biden slurred his way through a coordinated 60 Minutes interview, where, as his usual aged and aloof self, he, once again, did not address American casualties.

DeSantis stepped up, unquestionably, and took command of getting Americans home. He did so in a way that even had a media that’s usually hostile to him reporting on it. NBC News reporter Dasha Burns was on the scene in Tampa. The optics of the situation is that DeSantis is present and focused, while the two geriatric frontrunners were pre-occupied — either with Ticketmaster junk fees and telling more personal embellishments about gays getting thrown out of restaurants, or back in a courtroom and unloading on international allies at rallies.

Ron DeSantis models presidential behavior.

Shameful that Joe is not talking about the murdered Americans. While he keeps paying Hamas. DeSantis OR Trump, we can't possibly be any worse off than with the marxist morons we have now. Whoever gets the nomination, back them. Period.

YOu do know the Biden Administration is doing the same thing, right? And not trying to politicise it?

Did DeSantis pay for the flights or Florida Taxpayers?

5 days ago — The White House announced the State Department will start flying out American citizens from Israel starting Friday via chartered flights.

Meanwhile the little Trump wanna-be spent $2,000,000 instead of $270,000 if HE bought them an airline ticket.
Then again, if he did that, he couldn't get his kickback.

Considering the demographics in Florida I doubt the majority of the taxpayers there would be mad about this.
It is not the role of State taxpayers to pay for the evacuation of refugees…that is the role of the Federal government.

DeSantis using taxpayer funds on a political stunt to help his presidential campaign is abuse

And yet a state Governor had to get it done....

He brought US citizens out of a warzone. Do you think Biden was going to open up his check book or use taxpayer money? Maybe the Federal Government can just thank FL and cut them a check.

huh???...never heard that one
"Trump reposted a photograph originally posted by a Truth Social member who goes by the handle Dong-Chan Lee, and who uses a profile photo of the alt-right meme Pepe the Frog, featuring Trump's signature hairdo. The image showed what appeared to be DeSantis flanked by three young women that had been captioned, "Here is Ron DeSanctimonious grooming high school girls with alcohol as a teacher."

That is what Biden did

Opened up his checkbook or used tax payer money?

If Biden brought them all home how did DeSantis get these people on a flight from there to Florida?

DeSantis is using Florida taxpayer money to grandstand for his presidential run

Or he just cares about these people sees the US government isnt getting the job done and steps up. It wouldn't be the first time someone other than the Federal Government had to step up and get US citizens out of a warzone because this admin seemed incapable of doing it.
