Disney and DeSantis Settle

You got a direct link to that?

All those last minute changes made by Disney to the rules are void. Disney admitted to that.
From the AP article.

"Instead, a comprehensive plan from 2020 will be used with the new board able to make changes to it, and the agreement suggests Disney and the new board will negotiate a new development agreement in the near future".

Push.

Push.

The plan from 2020 was supposed to be unchangeable. Disney now has to negotiate, and the new board can make changes.

Again, how is this a "win" for Disney, or even a "push"

The board will implement what Disney puts in front of them. All of them want no part in continuing the war.
You have to admit, DeSantis response to the settlement is pretty lame by his standards.

Doesn't look like it. It appears as if Disney's gonna get to chart their own course again. So it looks like Ron may have decided it really wasn't in his best interest as seen going to war with Disney.
Not sure why he thought it would make him look more electable as President. I wouldn't want to elect a President that as a governor went to war with one of his state's biggest employers.
He didn't consider the fact that Disney is one of the state's biggest employers. He saw it as an attack on what he calls woke. That would be admired by all the MAGA cult members. After all, MAGA cult are the only supporters he could possibly have.

Prior to Ron DeSantis making his now disastrous run for President, he went to war with one of his state's biggest employers
in the name of battling "woke". It seemed to be at the time a waste of resources to try and punish Disney just because they
spoke out against the "Don't Say Gay" law. It didn't end up helping Ron DeSantis in his campaign (if you want to call it that).
In fact, he was seen as overreaching and a bit of a fascist.

All better now. :)

There is no “Don’t say gay” law.

Except there is no such law, so naturally if they are going to make up outright lies to smear him, then they should expect to be punished. Why WOULDNT he punish them for it? :dunno:

“We are glad that Disney has dropped its lawsuits against the new Central Florida Tourism Oversight District and conceded that their last-minute development agreements are null, void, and unenforceable,” Bryan Griffin, director of communications for the Executive Office of the Governor, said in a statement. “No corporation should be its own government. Moving forward, we stand ready to work with Disney and the District to help promote economic growth, family-friendly tourism, and accountable government in Central Florida.”

Now the pedos can concentrate on deviant sex movies with children

Wow, goal post moving 101. The board has the right to change it, something Disney didn't want, and didn't get.

Next time read more than one analysis of an event before crowing that your side won it, dipshit.

I didn't say that any side won. That's why they call it a "settlement".
And no, DeSantis can't declare victory here either. :)

Ehh, it seems DeSantis replaced his culture warrior with a tourism first guy, and Disney decided they could live with that. Both sides seemed to have quelled thier culture issues. Maybe.
