Democrats are overcompensating

I have a theory that the Democrats are over-compensating. In only a few short years, they have gone from hating everything to do with the military, to not caring if they push the world to the bring of a nuclear disaster. It was only a few years ago, that the left was protesting our involvement in the Middle east and now all of a sudden, they want to have a dick-measuring contest with Putin. They see Russians everywhere, even accusing conservatives and Republicans of being Russian agents, trolls, and bots. My guess is that Trump triggered the entire left wing to suddenly change into warlike McCarthyite right-wingers. That was because of their notion that Russia had something to do with Trump's election in 2016, which was started by Hillary Clinton. My theory is this: All this saber-rattling from the left is not so much because they hate Russia, it's because they hate Trump even more. It's no secret that the left has always had an affinity for Russia, socialism, and even communism. But in their hatred for Trump, they feel that getting back at Russia is like getting back at Trump by proxy. It reinforces their belief that Trump was bad, and all this liberal warlike posturing is just a sham.

We're so caught up in the partisan pissing match that hardly anyone has any genuine convictions. The partisans flip and flop with the wind, favoring whatever policies give their party a leg up in the short term. How those policies impact the nation, in the long term, is barely an afterthought.

They are the ones, like Tom Cotton, rattling sabers no end and the weak dem Ukraine virtue signalers are just along for the ride. In fact I'll go as far as to say the dems are using the neocons as their useful idiots this go-round.

Their party leadership sent down orders from on high that says "Support this. Don't support that." It's a list they get on a regular basis that they follow to a T.

Not long ago, the democrats were the "secured border" party. They're the ones that came up with the idea's of fence and things along our borders to keep illegals from coming here. Back then, they supported the American working class.

Had Trump won the 2020 election, they'd be the anti vaxxers.
And sadly enough, republican/Trump loyalist would be on the same side the left is on, on the issue of vaccines.
