I have a theory that the Democrats are over-compensating. In only a few short years, they have gone from hating everything to do with the military, to not caring if they push the world to the bring of a nuclear disaster. It was only a few years ago, that the left was protesting our involvement in the Middle east and now all of a sudden, they want to have a dick-measuring contest with Putin. They see Russians everywhere, even accusing conservatives and Republicans of being Russian agents, trolls, and bots. My guess is that Trump triggered the entire left wing to suddenly change into warlike McCarthyite right-wingers. That was because of their notion that Russia had something to do with Trump's election in 2016, which was started by Hillary Clinton. My theory is this: All this saber-rattling from the left is not so much because they hate Russia, it's because they hate Trump even more. It's no secret that the left has always had an affinity for Russia, socialism, and even communism. But in their hatred for Trump, they feel that getting back at Russia is like getting back at Trump by proxy. It reinforces their belief that Trump was bad, and all this liberal warlike posturing is just a sham.

The DemoKKKrats have always been a war party. The "protesting" against Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia etc. was completely phony. Those were anti-Republican protests, not anti-war protests. That's why you saw none of it during the Obama regime, which was marked by war, terrorism, bloodshed, and violence for every single day of it's eight years. This isn't to say they both do it, but you are saying only dems did it. Trump got elected not in small part by saying he'd get out of the ME. Of course, he didn't, but that's not to diss him anymore than dems.
