Ou ancestors at one time couldn’t speak. Look how intelligent we are now. We came from single cells. Not intelligence
This belief means that you'll be shelter in place in a cave during the end times. I know because this is one of the things prophecized and it seems it isn't a metaphor.

People were similar to us during ancient times. In some ways, they were better off physically and mentally than us. They were quite sophisticated.
Yes and religion set us backwards
You're the one claiming your people were cave people who came from bacteria. They could only grunt and stuff. That's some hilarious backwards rock people stuff :auiqs.jpg: .
Of course our ancestors at one time couldn’t talk they lived in the water.
Not mine. We were human and close to perfect. We lived for a long time, some over 900 years. Yours were scum that lived in the water and muck. Even scum would wipe their feet of you.

I would agree. It sounds appropriate for someone like you.
Sorry. Humans have never lived for 900 years.

Stop the madness.
You just do not understand longevity and that the past was different than the present. Yours is a belief in a race of half-apes and Neanderthals. When it comes to brass tacks, the Christians were more sophisticated and heathier than you.
You can believe humans lived 900 years but not evolution?

what is apparent is your's and rockwell's acceptance of those that wrote your book
Thank you. That is what counts. The more people who accept what is in the Bible through faith, the better.

But for now, it's the believers who should make sure their beliefs are righteous. The non-believers are on their own with their faith in Satan's Antibible.
I think you have already found that few people accept the kind of extremist ideology espoused by the Christian Jihadists. You might have noticed that this thread only includes two of the really angry thumpers. You’re not even attracting other Christians with your Jihad proselytizing. What you’re seeing is that few Christians accept your Jihad aimed at reason, rationality and a reality based worldview.

I admit I don't understand supernatural longevity. Nobody does. Strange how there is no reliable record of any human living for 900 years. Strange, that outside of biblical tales and fables, there is no reliable record of any human living for 900 years.

I see. Brass tacks aside, were Christians a separate species of human? You know, sort of like a superior race or breed of humans?
Stop. It's not supernatural, but natural. People lived a long time due to being close to the origin. We could have lived long like that, too, but for greater sin. All of Adam and Eve's descendants were killed. Thus, before the global flood, God shortened our lives to 120 years because of all became evil. The innocent could not be protected. Today, it is even shorter. It's more evidence for creationism as if evolution were true, then we would be living longer.
We are living longer than we did 200 years ago. Fact.

you say they lived longer back then but the evidence suggests they died in they’re 40s

Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

22 And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Proven matters of science are rejected.

Not surprising you didn’t cut and paste a theory but tales and fables that rely on magic and supernaturalism.

The other mistake you made was still not posting a General Theory of Supernatural Creation. The dogma you posted was a statement of literal, absolute “fact”, at least according to the Christian extremists. Science makes no claims to absolute fact and requires levels of falsification for a theory.

How does anyone test / falsify supernatural tales and fables?

Let’s take a look at your tales and fables.

Well, let's look at the source material, why don't we (KJV):

Genesis 2
5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

[Commentary] God has created the plants (which would include trees) and then creates man. Then he plants the garden and places man there. We on the same page so far?

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

[Commentary] Very clearly here we can see that evil already exists else it cannot be a tree of knowledge of good and evil. Man at this point in the narrative has nothing to do nor any knowledge of either good or evil. Hence evil must predate Man in order for there to be a choice.

Genesis 3
1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Now we have two questions:

1. Does this serpent lie, deceive, and tempt ("yes" to all three)-- and are any of these behaviors sinful? To answer this, apply them to the model of perfection, God. Can this God...

Lie? No, it would be sinful of God to lie and God by definition is sinless.

Deceive? No, it would be sinful of God to deceive and God by definition is sinless.

Tempt? Well, perhaps towards good, but the context here is towards disobedience and thus would be sinful, and of course it would be sinful of God to tempt and God by definition is sinless.

So we can agree that the behaviors of the serpent are pretty much sinful and none of them could be applied to the perfection of God within the narrative.

Onto our second question:

Exactly who (or what) is this serpent? It can only be one of three things:

A. An actual flesh and blood serpent
B. Satan
C. God

If it is A., and if it sins (and it does) then sin has been introduced into the world by a flesh and blood creation of god, and man has not brought it into the world.

If it is B. and if Satan sins, then once again evil has been brought into the world by an agent other than Man (although not of flesh and blood)

If it is C. (and actually, as the Author of Everything then Everything is ultimately of God) then we have a very deep problem, and a nature that totally self-destructs as God is both perfect and imperfect at the same time (this is the core "proof" of God not existing that leads to an atheistic conclusion-- for all those endless demands that atheists prove that a nothing doesn't not exist, it is only this-- that God is a senseless mass of contradictory nonsense that can establish any sort of "proof". A senseless mass of contradictory nonsense is indistinguishable from "nothingness"). For arguments sake, let's not head down C at all since in question 1 we have eliminated God being able to sin.

Now, left with choice A or B: I have heard the argument (and it's not a bad one actually): "Well, nowhere does it say God told the serpent he couldn't be evil and it was the disobedience that is the sin, not the act of evil."

To this I would point out that if sin (disobedience) is not evil, then it must be good, and if it is good, it cannot be an act of disobedience, and once again we're in a feedback loop.

But let's even concede this point and see where it leads:

What we are left with is this: Evil is of the gods -- no way around that -- hence, the gods are all good and all evil at the same time and are completely self-contradictory. Sin is the failure of the test -- but if sin is evil, and man was kept from knowing what good and evil are (only the tree could supply that knowledge and he was told not to indulge), then he is precluded from being able to pass the test. The gods must know this, and the god, being omniscient, mustknow which way Man would choose. Hence, free will is an illusion.

Hence, things are the way they are because the god wants them precisely this way, and the claim that God didn't set out to create Satan on purpose is disproved. And this includes a nasty and capricious nature which will kill people via floods and tornadoes and fires and earthquakes etc., none of which are essential to a world created by the gods.

I demand nothing; have lobbied on behalf of NOBODY OR ANY RELIGION. Fact is, I've left links to people that I don't agree with. Do all you non-believing types lack reading comprehension skills?
It's better to post like you were posting to the believers because the non-believers won't believe you. I've given up answering questions for the non-believers. They aren't ours to save. It's better to explain as if you're writing to the believers as they may get something out of it and learn something new about the Bible.

I think the atheists just want to have some kind of basis for their atheist religion, but there really isn't anything. Most of what I suspect is that Satan has planted certain phrases in their vocabulary in order for his followers to honor him and yet still be able to hide. For example, 'god' in lower case. That referes to "the god of the world and prince of the power of the air" in the Bible. Also, they started using the terms "fairy tale" and "sky fairy" to refer to God. However, God doesn't live in the sky. The Bible states that Satan and his demons live in the middle heaven or the sky. It's funny how they are manipulated.
It’s pretty stereotypical that the religious extremists will cloister, then attack those who reject their “jihad” brand of proselytizing.

I’d have thought you would have learned long ago that science unavoidably impacts religion. Certainly the church in Europe learned that lesson during 800 years of the Dark Ages when the Christian Church managed to crush science exploration. Have you not checked your calendar? It’s 2020, not 1020.

The worst effects of religious extremism are seen daily in these threads: revulsion for science, hatred for learning, fear mongering and threats used by the religious extremists employing their gods as mafioso bullies. The end result is always the same and we see it now as the religious extremists chatter back and forth hurling insults and using their gods to make threats.

And here we are. Page 40 and still no “General Theory of Supernatural Creation”

they are not religious they are first and foremost crucifiers, persecution and victimization of the innocent is their opiate through the scriptures they have confiscated through forgery found in all three of the desert religions.

the confluence of singularity is a state of purity, physical and metaphysical prior to the cataclysm joining them together in rebirth of a new universe and would likewise be a state purity resembling a nothingness as existence a clarity without form.

why would the desert religions perceive the birth of Earth as anything but a joyous event ... what's your purpose in that nipper, haven't you already made that claim earlier.

creation from the very beginning is everything but darkness and before that was clarity - the darkness is your religion, that is what needs the correction. stop sinning for everyone's sake.

your book had no idea how Earth was formed and its associative interpretation of evil is poorly representative for the actual religion being truly represented in the 1st century.

You can believe humans lived 900 years but not evolution?
I admit I had trouble with longevity first when getting into the Bible starting 2012, but that is observable. History has recorded people living hundred of years. We also have the mythical stories around the world (myth follows truth). None of evolution is observable except natural selection and we have Alfred Russel Wallace's (Wallace line fame) version.

Apparently, yes. That, and global floods that never happened, talking snakes, extreme punishment for fruit theft, his gods sponsoring incest and familial relations, a flat earth, Satans and boogeymen haunting his world, etc.
The scientific method fits creation better than Satan's Antibible of evolution. BTW, it wasn't a talking snake. Snakes can't talk, but Satan could use it to talk through. It wasn't fruit theft, but disobeying God like you are doing now. Even your evolution has incest and familial relations you damned hypocrite, hypocrite, hypocrite. Dummy, dummy, dummy. :auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:. The believers never believed a flat Earth, but yours did. OTOH, you have no valid evidence for long time. It's circular reasoning. Thus, in one paragraph, I have destroyed your evolution.

There is no reliable evidence of people living for hundreds of years. Since your claim is othrrwise, submit your evidence.

A tremendous amount of biological evolution is observable and testable. There are places called libraries, universities and something called the internet where you can find that data.

Do you have any idea that your absurd claims make you the object of ridicule?

It wasn't fruit theft, but disobeying God like you are doing now. Even your evolution has incest and familial relations you damned hypocrite, hypocrite, hypocrite. Dummy, dummy, dummy. :auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:. The believers never believed a flat Earth, but yours did. OTOH, you have no valid evidence for long time. It's circular reasoning. Thus, in one paragraph, I have destroyed your evolution.
Your juvenile tantrums are an embarrassment to everyone but you.

Magical, supernatural events fit no part of the Scientific Method.

You would understand that if you understood the Scientific Method.

have not lobbied for anything. I responded to a demand.
Hmm, no , you proselytized. That's a fact. Why so embarrassed of it?
You're illiterate and / or a liar. A response to a demand is NOT proselytizing.

"proselytize convert or attempt to convert (someone) from one religion, belief, or opinion to another..."

I did exactly the opposite. Quit being a dumb ass. At least two posters are converting you even as we speak. That's why you are trying to drag me back into this chaotic nonsense. Like I said, if you non-believers left me alone, I'd disappear. But you make the accusation because you have two dedicated Christians that are spanking you and giving you and the other non-believers the beat down of a life-time. I guess if I were you, I'd go after the guy NOT caring whether or not you get whipped in this fight.

Adding insult to injury, most posters have either left or they are making up their minds if they weren't one way or another. I'm thinking since at least one of you non-believers has to resort to multiple accounts, you know you're not convincing anyone of your position.

no, that is christianity persecuting and victimizing innocence, using falsehoods deliberately to sow discord preventing fluidity to espouse rather their own forged illbegotten objectives. the sins they are unwilling to abandon.

Such a delicate flower. You’re required to respond. You will remain until you’re excused.

The gawds command you..

And that was the first lie Satan ever told "ye shall be as gods..." Since you are a female (or have a female name) does that make you a goddette?

A life lesson for you: don’t use your fears and superstitions in attempts to intimidate others.

The two religious extremists in this thread are stereotypical of those who are too committed to childish superstitions and ”us vs. them" mentalities.

I can honestly advise that your appeals to magic and supernaturalism are tragically damaging.

My preference for discerning fact from partisan religious superstition is based on using the tools of evidence and reason that allow any objective analyst to discriminate between my position and yours. Your preference is based (as you admit here) purely on which best fits your a priori religious commitment.

“ye really need to condemn all humanity for fruit theft..."

Oh please tell us about the verifiable accounts of any human living hundreds of years. I really am curious about these.

"myth follows truth"?

Really?
