There's little doubt that the rules to play by for this war are going to discarded eventually.
So it's likely that Russia is going to win the Ukraine, but then all bets are off.
It's critical that America win this war in order to have any future security from an opposing alliance. Europe must stand strong and continue to be willing pawns in the war games.

Nor does anyone believe there is any moral stand to try to get the Ukraine into NATO, so we can put nukes on Russia's border, while the US almost invaded Cuba over the Soviets putting missiles there.
Not to mention that the Ukraine also owes over $20 billion for all the oil they stole from Russian pipelines.
As well as the fact the Donetsk and Crimea have always been populated by ethnic Russians who have always been abused by Kyiv. We will never know why Khrushchev shift them to the Ukraine in 1955, but it was always wrong.
