U.S. Confirms North Korea Sent 3,000 Troops To Russia For Training And Ukraine Combat.

Do you actually believe the Pentagon? Are you old enough to remember what the Pentagon Papers showed 50 years ago?

They showed that deception is how the Pentagon works, all the time.

The Russians don't need the Korean troops in battle, they have pretty well defeated the Ukrainians, those that have not deserted.
Ukraine is pushing deeper into Russia every week. ;)

Actually he still holds most of the territory he would want in a negotiated settlement.

Granted they have lost divisions worth of men, and mountains of material, but the Russians hold the field.
Uh huh…. While begging for personnel, weapons and munitions.

Since this is a land grab by Russia, holding the land is what matters.

I want to see Russia lose and Ukraine restored to it's 2014 borders, but right now that isn't happening.

I want my government in Washington to act like the Russian government does, protecting my country from illegal invaders. You and I will never have our wishes granted. Russia has had the high moral ground on this matter for more than 10 years. The US has been practicing military aggression and more through their deceptions going back generations.

No, they don't. They are the bad guys. My issue is everyone is so gung ho about the fight and they have no idea how to actually win it for Ukraine beyond "wear them down for a decade or so"

I cannot help but admire a government that protects its citizens from foreign invaders and threats. In a way I'm jealous of the Russians because their government does that.

OTOH I'm sad that the government in Washington does just the opposite and lets millions of foreigners come here in violation of federal laws and common sense. But our government is owned by foreign interests especially Israel.

The Russian government has the high moral ground in this matter. They've been trying to find a diplomatic solution for 15 years or more, but the Israelis and Neocons in Washington won't allow diplomacy.

They don't have the moral high ground. All they are doing is a land grab, after agreeing to not do so when Ukraine gave up it's nukes.

I would think folks would be more concerned about the fact North Koreans are getting real world combat experience and what that means. Instead this just another sound byte to push a failed liberal agenda. Sad.

Yeah.... There's definitely a lot in there in benefit for both Russia and North Korea. Russia gets highly motivated combat troops and North Korea most likely gets ballistic missiles and tankers of oil.

As opposed to the Lying 5-Deferment Draft Dodging Orange Shit Pile, yes.

Am I the only one here who's skeptical of this whole North Korea story? They have no motive to get involved in such a way. The number of troops they're sending will make no difference from tactical or operational standpoint. The only effect this will have in the big picture is that it may cause the public in the West to take interest in Ukraine again, and why would the NORKs or Russians want that? And think about what the source for this information is. Do you seriously believe something because the US government or one of its mouthpieces said so? Hell, the only evidence I've seen for this whole North Korea story is a grainy video of some dudes in green uniforms shuffling around in a storehouse.

And it's not going to happen. Ukraine is not going to defeat Russia...they never were going to defeat Russia. That's the problem...the right move would have been a compromise that excluded any War...War is not for Ukraine....that's bullshit....War was for the benefit of the westerm war merchants. It was never about rights or democracy or anything resembling that.

Good point...

For Ukraine it's about territory that was given to them as part of the "give up our Soviet nukes" deal.

To re-take their territory they would need 2-3 corps of western equipped armored/mechanized units, and then they would need 10-12 divisions of infantry to hold it.

I doubt they can get that level of material or men.

Which leaves western intervention as their only winning endgame besides the total collapse of the Russian State.

Either one has nuclear war implications.

It's partially a propaganda move, and the other part is I am sure there are trains of foodstuffs being shipped to NK from Russia as part of the deal.

Oh yeah. Regardless of whether it's true or not, it's definitely a propaganda move. Does anyone know when congress is set to vote on the next defense spending bill? "LOOK! NORTH KOREAN TROOPS ARE HEADING WEST! UNLESS YOU VOTE TO SPEND MORE MONEY WE DON'T HAVE, THE GODLESS ASIATIC HORDES ARE GOING TO STEAL OUR DEMOCRACY TOMORROW! BE AFRAID!"
