Two atomic bombs killed hundreds of thousands of civilians, men women and children, pets, etc. Should the American president be condemned for dropping them or lauded for preventing the predicted deaths of up to a million by allowing the war to continue and conquering the Japanese mainland inch by bloody inch? There comes a time in warfare when a dominant force needs to make a decision, do we break our opponents' will to continue fighting or do we hold back to be "fair" and allow the death cycle to continue?
In Israel's case, there is a brutal truth that has been in play since the day she was founded as a nation, and that truth is that the nations and people groups around Israel are dedicated to the annihilation of the Israeli people. Not coexistence with, not peace, not tolerance, not enforceable borders, annihilation. Israel needs to lose just ONE war to be completely wiped out. This is a reality that is routinely glossed over by those who hate Israel. Israel is the only nation on the face of the earth that the rest of the world demands she do nothing when her citizens are under attack and being killed in the dead of night. No other nation is expected to even shrug off such attacks.
The liberation of Gaza from Hamas must continue.
