Coronavirus, Article from "WEB-MD"

Trump i s doing a great job, but the reality is a great many things can still go sideways. He must stay on top of this situation.

He's totally on top of it at the Golf Course. I hear he's also helping OJ find the real killers.

Given the number of people th at violate quarantine, he may have to declare a national emergency, and not just a health emergency.

Yeah, I don't think anyone trusts Trump declaring a "national emergency", given his dictatorial tendencies...

The market would force better wages if we stopped letting poor people in to pick watermelons. Our economy would be fine. Also automation is on the verge of making low-skill workers completely obsolete. Once technology removes the need for these people they will just be even more of a drain on our economy. They'll need to be taken care of.

Well, no, there's never an amount of money where most people would want to stand out in the hot sun picking watermelons, that's the point.

And you really can't get a machine to do it without ruining half your crop.

They've been singing this song since the 1970's... and it hasn't happened yet.

Now, I worked for a company where they used undocumented immigrants for the scrub work. They hired them through a Temp agency to give themselves "plausible deniability". Then this company was bought out by a bigger company, and the declared 'no more temps without papers. So. Um. Yeah. The only people they could find were a bunch of meth heads who usually didn't last past their first paycheck, when they went out, got high and forgot they needed to come back. Some of these people scared the hell out of the ladies in the office.

Now, simple enough solution. Develop a "Guest Labor" program like Germany has.
Machines work quite well.

I bet when this Democrat manufactured crisis is over, and sane eyes review the hysteria, we will learn the death rate from this manufactured crisis is no greater than the common cold.

Some of you guys are such fools to be manipulated like this by the Democrat MSM
“Democrat manufactured crisis”. So you think this coronavirus was a Democratic manufactured crisis concocted in China. Are you really that stupid? That was rhetorical.

I guess you think we should just ignore all the experts. Let people die because your idiocy says it’s a manufactured crisis.

Death Angel is your name. How apropos.
This is a very mild virus that originated in China. Like many otherwise mild viruses it will kill the very old and very sick. Democrats have blown this all out of proportion. The intent is yet another attack on Constitutional rights. This time the freedom of assembly.
The symptoms of this strain of cold virus are the same as all other strains. Among the elderly with compromised health, a COLD can lead to Pneumonia as it did in my mother. Yes, the COLD VIRUS can kill. And yes, the Democrats are using a COLD VIRUS to induce panic and hysteria

How and When They Strike
Cold viruses have a lot in common, but each type has its own style, too.

Rhinovirus. This bunch is most active in early fall, spring, and summer. They cause 10%-40% of colds. You'll feel plenty miserable when you catch one, but the good news is they rarely make you seriously sick.

Coronavirus. These tend to do their dirty work in the winter and early spring. The coronavirus is the cause of about 20% of colds. There are more than 30 kinds, but only three or four affect people.

RSV and parainfluenza. These viruses cause 20% of colds. They sometimes lead to severe infections, like pneumonia, in young children

Last night the news was filled with stories of returning travelers being put in quarantine who are not sick. A Tustin restaurant is taking the temperature of everyone entering. No one is sick. The entire news hour devoted to the not sick. The report shaded to make it look like at least someone is sick.

My step grandson works for a hospital. Dozens of people stream in claiming to have covid19. None do. Two had colds. The doctors are already whispering about the bullshit virus.

Everything is pointing to this being contagious hysteria.

Like you really give a fuck about life.

I care about getting Trump out of office because he isn't up to managing a crisis like this.

Three years of playing America on Easy Mode. Now we have a major outbreak and the markets are crashing and burning.

I told you so.
easy mode????????!!!!!!!!!!!?????????
hahahahhahahahahhaha
no other POTUS has been attacked so much as Mr Trump has---and he still kicked a$$

Your reasoning changes with each new outrage. You want Trump out because he's a loud Republican that has been more successful than you thought he would be and you hate it.

You mean it took longer for him to fuck things up than I thought? Um. Yeah. He still fucked things up, though.

Here's the thing. We should have gotten rid of him when we found out he was throwing kids into concentration camps, or when we found out he was trying to rig the election. But a lot of people didn't care, because, hey, the market's good.

Now the market ain't so good anymore.
you are babbling again, like I said before...you never back up your silly babbling

Speak for yourself you self-loathing asshole. America is the greatest country on Earth, and we've done a better job of leading than anybody else could have.

You mean other than the slavery, the genocide of native peoples, the systematic racism... we are "good" people.

So were Germans in the 1930's.

It takes very little to push a "good person" into a monster. This is why Trump is so obnoxious. His go to is to appeal to our worst instincts. He's doing it with this. You fumble the response to a disease outbreak because you slashed public health to give tax breaks to rich people? Well, BLAME CHINA. It's all their fault. Tell your lackies to start calling it the "Wuhan Flu".
the blacks and NAs committed genocide/etc also
..as proven beyond a doubt, the black countries of Africa are shitholes--black Africa is the worst place in the world --I've linked this before ..they can't even feed themselves...the US spent US $$$ and US lives trying to feed black Africa

A coronavirus is a kind of common virus that causes an infection in your nose, sinuses, or upper throat. Most coronaviruses aren't dangerous.

What Is a Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses were first identified in the 1960s, but we don't know where they come from. They get their name from their crown-like shape. Sometimes, but not often, a coronavirus can infect both animals and humans.

Most coronaviruses spread the same way other cold-causing viruses do: through infected people coughing and sneezing, by touching an infected person's hands or face, or by touching things such as doorknobs that infected people have touched.

Almost everyone gets a coronavirus infection at least once in their life, most likely as a young child. In the United States, coronaviruses are more common in the fall and winter, but anyone can come down with a coronavirus infection at any time.

Severe coronavirus outbreaks include:

  • COVID-19: In early 2020, after a December 2019 outbreak in China, the World Health Organization (WHO) identified a new type, 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), which can be fatal. The organization named the virus severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and named the disease it causes COVID-19. The outbreak quickly moved from China around the world.
Common Symptoms of Coronavirus
The symptoms of most coronaviruses are similar to any other upper respiratory infection, including runny nose, coughing, sore throat, and sometimes a fever. In most cases, you won't know whether you have a coronavirus or a different cold-causing virus, such as rhinovirus.

You could get lab tests, including nose and throat cultures and blood work, to find out whether your cold was caused by a coronavirus, but there's no reason to. The test results wouldn't change how you treat your symptoms, which typically go away in a few days.

But if a coronavirus infection spreads to the lower respiratory tract (your windpipe and your lungs), it can cause pneumonia, especially in older people, people with heart disease, or people with weakened immune systems

Not sure what your point is here.

Right... he doesn't have qualifications of community organizer, whose managing of H1N1 caused only 4000 American lives.

Markets would crash and burn even if we had no corona virus cases.

he links to a webpage giving generic info about a group of common viruses. the same webpage has information about a specific virus, and calls it potentially fatal. this is ignored.
also ignored is the WebMD page which is actually concerned with the specific virus.
that idiot has no point.

hit happens and we deal with it.

If you want to pretend the market would be doing better right now under Hitlary or Biden than ot is under Trump. . . Your are only fooling yourself as you ignore and dismiss all the gains that were made and the record gains before the virus was discovered.

Here's the thing. The only reason the markets did well was because the Fed was continuing to pump money into the economy.

QE4, the Fed has been buying 85 BILLION in treasuries every month, to prop up this inflated market.

It isn't working anymore.

Someone just yelled out 'The Emperor has no Clothes".

Are you talking about Barry's economy, or Trump's economy?
