All I can say is, you can never, EVER get young people or minorities on your side with a guy like Trump in charge of your party. .

Care to 'splain why he's more popular with black and hispanics than any republican prez has ever been?

Is he really though? Sure some polls have said that. But where were they Tuesday?

We need to not just win arguments, we need to persuade people our ideas are better and bring them to our side.

Conservatives must stop trying to compel conformity, stop opposing the rights and protected liberties of the American people, and end their unwarranted hostility toward immigrants, gay Americans, transgender Americans, and the privacy rights of women.

Absent these changes conservatives will continue to be an opposed and rejected minority, and appropriately so.

But regardless. We need to find ways to make some progress in California, New York, and New England. We can’t just be writing off states all the time with no plan and no progress. The left isn’t writing off our areas

You see, it used to be a guy like my Dad could take a High School education, get a good union job and he'd be set for life. Could raise a family and buy vacation property and otherwise have a good time. Both Republican and Democrats realized this was a good thing.

Then along came the libertarians, conservatives and morons who talked a whole bunch about freedom and tried to roll back all those great protections.

Compared to my generation, where you have to get a college degree to get a good job, often have to work a second job to make ends meet, have to limit how many kids you have.

Then we get to the generation after that. Start out with massive debts to pay for a college degree that they need just to get in the door.

And you wonder why these kids look at a Socialist like Bernie and say, "Um, yeah, that sounds pretty good to me." Because they are seeing what a progressively shitty deal Capitalism is...

Of course it doesn't. The women that are now making their own money would have still been getting money from their husband (who himself was paid better). Boy you missed a whole hell of a lot in your summation. Your dad probably like mine served as a helper/apprentice to a journeyman to start out. Depending on what field he was in that apprenticeship could have taken up to seven years to complete. See that was in itself an education comparable to any college degree. You also failed to mention the fact that some unions got extremely greedy and with their greed and demands they would destroy anything they could not control and get a cut of.
You failed to mention how colleges lowered their standards for admission and idiots started getting degrees. Idiots with degrees started thinking they were/are better than anyone else at decided how everyone else should live and behave. Along with that many of those de-greed idiots demanded that everyone join their union and go along with their agendas plus they also demanded top benefits and pay above and beyond what the average working person could make. Wanting better insurance, etc. than the average taxpayer they wanted more tax dollars to pay it all until the whole system started falling on its ass.

I could go on and on but you don't really want to hear it so I digress back to my quiet space and you can continue pushing chit without going into all the facts and details of the corruption that has infiltrated everything.

Bernie's support came mostly from people who know or were learning how they are being and have been poisoned by state run capitalism/fascist. The people just didn't/don't understand the term yet but they will in time.
