Comey Turns Himself in this Morning

It would be great if the lawfare would end. But it cannot end by Republicans saying "we need to stop this weaponization of the justice system" and Democrats lisping, "Yeah! Thop doing that, you weaponizer guys!"

The Democrats are taking the brunt of it right now. They need to come to the table, apologize for their nine years of weaponized intelligence and justice and offer to agree on some ground rules to prevent such shenanigans in the future.

It was just fun and games for Dems but lives were changed, people were forced to plead guilty on pain of having family members gone after, and of course life savings for public servants were spent on legal defense.

Dems won't be willing to fix it until they feel some of the pain, as well.

Didn't merrick garland wait an entire 18 months before he eventually issued a raid of Trump's home after many, pretty please, please return all the stolen top secret documents? Some "weaponization." Weaponizing the DOJ is something any vengeful authoritarian would do right away, ie Trump. Biden would have directed Garland to arrest Trump on day 1, which never happend even after 18 months, btw. They wouldn't look a gift like stealing nuclear secrets and other classified info and delay it for nearly 2 years. Cmon. Look at how much dirt must be on Trump in the Epstein files that he's trying so hard to suppress, and Biden didn't even touch it. Another gift. Sometimes you just need to take a step back from the rhetoric and the dogma and look at the facts objectively. Democrats are too weak to be weaponizing anything against anyone but maybe a lowly government office worker.

Yes, he was wrong about them being stolen top secret documents the first time he said they were, and he kept being wrong about it for eighteen months.

Did they indict Trump for stolen top secret documents?

Exactly. That's how we know that Trump didn't steal any nuclear secrets. They never said he did. They would have indicted him as soon as he left office with stolen nuclear documents.

If you think they said Trump stole nuclear documents, you did not read their statements or leaks closely enough.

Now they are, sure. They need to stay that way.

We need a two party system. We don't need the chaos of multiple parties, nor the limited choices of a one-party system.

I've been trying to prop up the Dems by offering helpful suggestions on this forum, but they dont' want to listen.

Finally, I realize that the situation is ripe for another party to become the other major party, because the Democrats are already hopeless and they are currently cutting their own throats with their New York shutdown.

No documents were stolen unless you mean those kept by Biden at his home and other places.

No Garland wasn't wrong, that's why Trump was indicted. When you take something that doesn't belong to you, that's stealing. When you ignore a subpoena to return classified documents, that's justification for a raid and an indictment. Trump is like that kid that borrowed your Gameboy and refuses to return it no matter how many times you ask them and at 80 years old, he's still playing the same stupid games, no pun intended.

There was indeed nuclear secrets among all the classified docs. But that was not discovered until much later once the investigation began to unravel his crimes.

Now they are, sure. They need to stay that way.

No whenever they're in power.

Wow, this is desperate.

Huge problems here. One, the notes do nothing to prove the case. Two, the text messages don’t show Comey approving a leak and more importantly, they are dated WEEKS after his Senate testimony.

Is this what they have?

Obama started the hoax and Comey obeyed Obama.

Exhibit 10 shows FBI special government employee Daniel Richman (aka "Michael Garcia") is leaking--as an anonymous source--to New York Times reporter Michael Schmidt on behalf of then-FBI Director James Comey.

Comey testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee he never did this.

:eusa_dance:

"There are multiple exhibits highlighting emails between James Comey (aka Reinhold Niebuhr7) and Daniel Richman [HERE-4 and HERE-5 and HERE-6 and HERE-7] proving the former FBI director did intentionally direct Daniel Richman to contact media persons on his behalf and leak investigative background information, or instruct them on information, James Comey provided. The evidence on this issue is overwhelming.

Daniel Richman, working directly on the instructions of James Comey, worked closely with New York Times journalist Mike Schmidt, husband of MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace, to publish material [ex. Exhibit #8]. Richman then coordinated the FBI director’s message with dozens of national journalists, writing the scripts for them to publish on behalf of James Comey [ex Exhibit #9]. Again, the evidence on this collaborative endeavor is overwhelming.

Interestingly, [Govt Exhibit #12] is the criminal complaint stemming from the FBI investigation which began on July 21, 2025. The investigative summary notes the purposeful use of Room #9582 at FBI headquarters, intended to destroy classified evidence concealed in five burn bags."

15th post
I did.

Where do they indicate he was leaking?

Are you ******* stupid? :laughing0301:

"What Comey said he did

During this afternoon's testimony, Comey said he shared the contents of a memo that he had previously written about a meeting he had had with Trump with a friend.

That decision, Comey said, came three days after Trump posted a tweet that read "James Comey better hope that there are no 'tapes' of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!"

Comey said the tweet prompted his decision to tell his friend -- who was later confirmed by ABC News to be Columbia Law School professor Dan Richman -- about the memo in question.

"I woke up in the middle of the night on Monday night, because it didn't dawn on me originally, there might be corroboration, a tape," Comey said.

"My judgment was I needed to get that out into the public square. So I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter. I didn't do it myself for a variety of reasons, but I asked him to because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel," Comey said."

That all occurred after his May 2017 testimony.

So he lied about something that hadn’t happened? That’s not what this is about.
