Coal workers backed Trump Now worried about losing Obamacare

The humorous part of the GOP opposition to the ACA is that they think the people they are going to deny insurance to will just sit at home and get sicker and sicker. They will show up at the County hospital and get free care from the taxpayers...INSTEAD of having insurance for themselves. This is probably why the average conserve-hate-ive will drink poison before holding their elected officials accountable. And it's funny too...what do we have; 20 threads celebrating the GOP domination of having 30+ states with a GOP House, Senate, and Governor!!! Yet when the hospitals and healthcare costs skyrocket in these states--they will blame the Democrats who hold no sway whatsoever!!!

Republicans held a majority of offices before this too. And what did they do? Blamed democrats who aren't in power.

As long as Republicans can blame dems for their failures this bunch will keep voting in the same people who create the reality they claim to hate.

“In Arizona, unsubsidized premiums for a hypothetical 27-year-old buying a benchmark ‘second-lowest cost silver plan’ will jump by 116 percent, from $196 to $422, according to the administration report.”

Obamacare premiums to soar by double digits

No word from Drumpf or the Right on what will replace Obamacare.
No, PJ, actually Trump has.

Healthcare Reform
However, it is not enough to simply repeal this terrible legislation. We will work with Congress to make sure we have a series of reforms ready for implementation that follow free market principles and that will restore economic freedom and certainty to everyone in this country. By following free market principles and working together to create sound public policy that will broaden healthcare access, make healthcare more affordable and improve the quality of the care available to all Americans.

Any reform effort must begin with Congress. Since Obamacare became law, conservative Republicans have been offering reforms that can be delivered individually or as part of more comprehensive reform efforts. In the remaining sections of this policy paper, several reforms will be offered that should be considered by Congress so that on the first day of the Trump Administration, we can start the process of restoring faith in government and economic liberty to the people.

Congress must act. Our elected representatives in the House and Senate must:
  1. Completely repeal Obamacare. Our elected representatives must eliminate the individual mandate. No person should be required to buy insurance unless he or she wants to.
  2. Modify existing law that inhibits the sale of health insurance across state lines. As long as the plan purchased complies with state requirements, any vendor ought to be able to offer insurance in any state. By allowing full competition in this market, insurance costs will go down and consumer satisfaction will go up.
  3. Allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns under the current tax system. Businesses are allowed to take these deductions so why wouldn’t Congress allow individuals the same exemptions? As we allow the free market to provide insurance coverage opportunities to companies and individuals, we must also make sure that no one slips through the cracks simply because they cannot afford insurance. We must review basic options for Medicaid and work with states to ensure that those who want healthcare coverage can have it.
  4. Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Contributions into HSAs should be tax-free and should be allowed to accumulate. These accounts would become part of the estate of the individual and could be passed on to heirs without fear of any death penalty. These plans should be particularly attractive to young people who are healthy and can afford high-deductible insurance plans. These funds can be used by any member of a family without penalty. The flexibility and security provided by HSAs will be of great benefit to all who participate.
  5. Require price transparency from all healthcare providers, especially doctors and healthcare organizations like clinics and hospitals. Individuals should be able to shop to find the best prices for procedures, exams or any other medical-related procedure.
  6. Block-grant Medicaid to the states. Nearly every state already offers benefits beyond what is required in the current Medicaid structure. The state governments know their people best and can manage the administration of Medicaid far better without federal overhead. States will have the incentives to seek out and eliminate fraud, waste and abuse to preserve our precious resources.
  7. Remove barriers to entry into free markets for drug providers that offer safe, reliable and cheaper products. Congress will need the courage to step away from the special interests and do what is right for America. Though the pharmaceutical industry is in the private sector, drug companies provide a public service. Allowing consumers access to imported, safe and dependable drugs from overseas will bring more options to consumers.

In addition he plans to keep the higher age limit for children to stay on parents health insurance and he wants to keep the ban on denials based on pre-existing conditions, among other things.

Coal miners are in a union and unions do not use Obamacare..

Fake news..

The CNN segment features people who live in Eastern Kentucky coal country and backed Trump because he promised to bring back coal jobs. Now, however, they worry that a provision in the ACA that makes it easier for longtime coal miners with black lung disease to get disability benefits could get eliminated along with the law. That provision shifted the burden of proving that the disability was directly caused by work in the mines away from the victim. Those benefits include financial and medical benefits. Some benefits now also extend to the widows of miners who had black lung disease — or pneumoconiosis, a lung illness associated with inhalation of coal dust — after their husbands die. Other reporting has also confirmed widespread coal country worries about losing these protections.

And the far left drone proves my point it is fake news..

Unions do not use Obamacare!

Reading is FUNdamental

The issue is what miners have to prove in a court of law.......Thanks Obamacare

Interesting that NONE of the Republican proposals require the repeal of Obamacare. All can be done in addition to what we now have in Obamacare

The Republican proposal also does nothing to require coverage of pre- existing conditions or eliminate lifetime caps

They are only worried because the libtard press is lying about everything regarding the ACA replacement plans that they can plausibly think of.

The miners will NOT lose their fucking coverage, PERIOD.
No word from Drumpf or the Right on what will replace Obamacare.
Your breath must stink!
I encourage you to keep your head stuck up Obama's ass. That way you do at least contribute something meaningful in your meaningless life: You have made a career of being a 'human buttplug'.
Good job!
Your Obama fan club 3" 'plastic 'Gold-Inspired' participation trophy is in the mail.

The people who had no insurance except medicaid will still have medicaid. No change. The people that had insurance that they liked were forced to give it up for ocare. The great majority of people had insurance that they liked and could afford. Those people lost their insurance because the government considered it substandard. Those people were forced onto plans at twice the price with half the coverage.

And those who had no insurance who just show up at County General when they get sick....what do you predict will happen to them when the GOP takes away their health care insurance?
They will be treated just like they always were. If they were on medicaid before o care, then their medicaid was o care, no change. They are still on medicaid.

Obamacare was never more than a fraud.

It's covered under the Black Lung Benefits Act of 1973.

Which was amended by the ACA. Kill the ACA and those amendments are eliminated as well. Hell, this ain't that difficult to understand. Just like the ACA provisions concerning Medicare, like the elimination of the doughnut hole. Kill the ACA those provisions go away, the doughnut hole returns.

The Benefits Act will go back to 1973.

What will happen is that ocare will be dismantled. Because the new plan provides health care, democrats will able to use that dildo to say "see, the plan provides healthcare. It's still obamacare."
