It has to be because that's what killed him, just like when a 23 year old gets into a motorcycle accident and gets tested for covid in the hospital. He didn't die from crashing into a parked car at 50 mph, it's covid that killed him.

I don't have the specific metrics being measured, although you can look at the progress in Massachusetts to separate COVID deaths by causation and correlation. Stark differences in the percentages.

Regardless, if someone dies with COVID .. it counts as a COVID death.
