declassified internal documents of the Pfizer and Moderna campaigns at the request of a US court indicate that the development of Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine began in May 2019 - six months (!) before the start of the pandemic.
That is, at a time when no one yet knew it was coming. Except, presumably, those behind the pandemic. Pfizer resisted disclosure of the documents for a long time, but was eventually forced to comply with the court's decision.
