A controversial practice accused of being damaging has been ended out of caution, even though no evidence exists the practice caused harm.

In the meantime, the flap caused highly susceptible emotional people to forego vaccinating kids.

For most serious diseases which have been identified as extremely contagious I say yes. The number of cases that have turned out to be classified as "unsafe" or which may have caused some problem for the individual are miniscule to the ones that have not and have prevented millions of people from suffering serious illness and death.

I don't agree with mandated vaccines for precautionary methods, ala Rick Perry and the HPV vaccine, I think parents have the right to choose in that case whether or not to allow their daughters to receive the vaccine.

For what its worth from a doctor.. I have my children vaccinated but I understand why some people dont. I dont think anyone should be forced to if they have concerns about the safety of the vaccinations for their children.

The FDA has removed it from children's vaccines. Parents are the one's in charge, if they are in doubt, all they need to do is ask.

Parents can refuse to have their children vaccinated and risk their children being paralized by polio, or dying a horrible suffocating death from whooping cough, or suffering brain damage from measles- just to name a few of the things that used to happen before there was vaccinations.

I am old enough to remember the victims of polio.

Unfortunately there are parents who listen to your kind of shit- and keep their kids from being vaccinated.

Hopefully no kids will die of this measles outbreak- from what I have read measles has a mortality rate of about 1 in 1,000

Let me make it even simpler for people

If you believe that children should receive the usual full list of childhood vaccinations- which includes measles, and polio and whooping cough and the other usual things- but not necesarily the flu- you vote yes.

If you believe that children should not receive all or most of the full list of childhood vaccinations- then vote no.

And not about what other people say- answer as if this applied to your own children- real or imagined.

But in your poll you have combined political labels that may not fit respondents with a position on vaccination.

Sorry guy- when I set up the poll, one of the things I was curious about- besides who was in favor of vaccinations- was how those opinions broke out right and left.

I had seen multiple posts by people blaming the right and the left for being anti-vaccination- I hypothesized that this is not a right or left issue- so that is what I was attempting to find out.
