Same history? Parlez-vous français dipshit?
When our countries were in their infancy without borders our lands were shared by the French and the British. New France baby!
And one of my favorite destinations known as the great state of Louisiana has a direct mutual link between our two countries. Cajuns. Very different from the first French colonists in Louisiana.
Cajuns come from what is known as Acadia now the Maritimes in Canada. Mostly Nova Scotia. Some of my favorite people on the planet.
So yes. We have a mutual history in our infancy.
My French forefather came from France, and mustered out of the French army in Natchitoches, in 1764, when he refused to join the Spanish army.
Natchitoches was 300 years old in 2014, the oldest continuous colonial settlement in the Louisiana Purchase.
I was born in the state of Louisiana, but, and lived in it most of my life, but I have never lived in old French Louisiana.
I was born in the Florida Parishes, and now live in West LA, in what was claimed by Spanish Texas, and later called the Neutral Strip.
