One issue that makes me doubt the story is the differences between the accounts so let's start there. I see that as evidence that somewhere someone claimed that they encountered the risen Jesus and the story was embellished over the decades. How many sightings of Elvis were there, showing these stories can spontaneously appear. What is the story as you see it?

Or you could explain how the accounts of the resurrection of Christ were an embellishment. Either he didn't rise from the dead or he did. And if he didn't rise from the dead, then they lied about it. Which makes it a conspiracy and not a myth.

How so? Walk me through your logic. Don't bring up Elvis or Mohamed. Walk me through the apostles actions and show how it can't be either a conspiracy to commit fraud or the truth.
You ask me how and then limit my answer? For the first decades of Christianity, the stories were oral. Did you ever play Telephone?

How does that work?
Someone claimed they saw Jesus alive and some people believed it and repeated it. How does any rumor get started? Elvis lives, chopped cherry trees, stopping a war in 24 hours, etc.
