The reality is simple. No one has observed a single-celled organism evolving into a human. All that can be empirically observed are small changes occurring over generations within species.

Scientists simply observe these small changes, or look at the genetic record, and assume that these changes occurred over millions of years without any evidence other than speculation. So until you actually witness a single-celled organism evolving into a human with your own eyes, you have no reason to believe it. You merely believe it because you were taught or indoctrinated into believing it.

For that matter, God could have simply created animals in their present state with the appearance of having evolved.
