Calling Out Alang1216: The God of Abraham is a myth

As I said, it happened the same way it always happened. You can ask those questions about any religious figure, e.g. Mohammad. Can you say why Mohammad's revelations are myth but Jesus' are not?

Doesn't really matter how it happened, it happened. I presented plenty of evidence the NT is not reliable, not of which you refuted. A Jewish account from hundreds of years after the event is meaningless hearsay.
We aren’t talking about Mohamed. I am trying to understand your explanation for how so many narratives of Jesus performing miracles and claiming equality to God came to be if none of them are true.

And yes it does matter because history shows Jesus was worshipped as God after he rose from the dead. That history makes sense if the narratives of Jesus performing miracles are true and they witnessed the miracles with their own eyes.

You yourself have said you would believe Jesus is God if you had witnessed the miracles described in the gospels. So yeah, it matters that you can’t explain how those narratives came to be if they are false. This is detective 101. Use your brain.

Later embellishments.

Early Christian history shows Jesus was also NOT worshipped as God

Logic says otherwise. Which you would have discovered if you had an affirmative argument. But of course that's why you won't make one.

Walk me through it.
Pagans were transactional and wanted a god that was powerful. Since Christianity was in competition, it's god had to be equally powerful and performing miracles was an important measure. Since Christianity was mainly spread orally, added small embellishments to a story you were told might be very tempting. Then your story would be told by others and maybe getting more embellsihments.

Logic? I'll go with documented, historical fact.

Walk me through how that worked. I double dog dare you.
See Post #366 for how. We know the NT writers wanted to link Jesus to OT prophesy so we see they invented stories to do just that.

When did that begin? Who was responsible for writing accounts that appealed to pagans?

The documented historical facts say the apostles went into hiding when Jesus was arrested and put to death, came out of hiding after Jesus rose from the dead and boldly proclaimed Jesus is God despite being persecuted, imprisoned and put to death for it.

There are two conflicting birth narratives so it seems at least one (actually both) was just made up.
I’m talking about all of the miracles and the resurrection. Why did the apostles and disciples make up those narratives?

As I told you, keeping up with the competition. Most pagan gods and demi-gods performed miracles, including raising the dead.

embellishments
Pick one of the miracles and tell me what the point of the account was and separate that from the embellishment. Let's start with the resurrection. Fair enough? What were the points of those accounts if it wasn't that Jesus rose from the dead?
