Take the case of Marimar Miranda. An immigration officer said she tried to run him over with her car…so he had to shoot her multiple times. Turned out the body camera video showed he was the one who crashed into her car. Not the other way around.

CNN just showed a more complete video and it certainly appears to me that the officer had reason to believe he was in danger, though he was able to successfully dodge the vehicle as he was shooting... I don't think he was unjustified in firing his weapon based on what I've seen, but if he was able to dodge the car while firing, he was also able to do so without firing...

I do not believe she had any intent to run anyone over, but the officer had know way of knowing that...
