The shooting marks a dramatic escalation of the latest in a series of immigration enforcement operations in major American cities under the Trump administration. It’s at least the fifth person killed in a handful of states since 2024.

Shooting an unarmed activist and protester, ICE is getting way out of hand. Ms. McLaughlin was protesting, which under the United States Constitution was her right, but I'm sure ICE will justify the shooting.

This one is touchy. On the one hand she did take off right at the officer while trying to turn away and he could have potentially been run over. On the other hand I watch a lot of stupid police videos and things whilst petting the wiener dogs when I first get home and most of the time the PoPos jump out of the way without firing unless its a dangerous felony stop. Even shooting the bad guy won't usually stop the officer from being run over so they tend to jump out of the way.
