Not to worry, most pre-civil rights era republicans and democrats were pretty racist. Some were progressives and some were conservatives on both sides. It's hard to apply modern labels like "right-wing" or "left-wing" to the pre civil rights era in America's twisted political landscape today. Contrary to degenerate stupidity the assessment of blame for any suspect's death while resisting arrest must always include the guilt of the person resisting arrest.
The jury agreed the excessive force was used long after he stopped struggling. This unreasonable excessive force was used while Floyd was handcuffed and saying he couldn't breathe!

I agree that the officer was sadly unaware that Floyd was not faking his health issues this time like he had in the past. Much blame must still rest with Floyd however for committing a crime, for abusing drugs, and for resisting arrest.
