I fear you are right. My summary: Mueller found out Trump is a criminal - but to punish him because of this crimes has for the USA much more negative effects than not to punish him. The situation is similar to the situation of our chancellors. They broke sometimes laws - also international laws. In all this cases existed the problem that justice and laws are different structures. But how to decide this? The leader of a nation needs partially indeed more freedom than anyone else. Someone has to overtake control in case laws become crimes.

But I doubt that Donald Trump knows only a little what justice really could be - while we all are not able to live without justice. The absolute loyalty Donald Trump expects for the own person (and perhaps also for the next "king" of his own personal clan) is in this context more than only damned dangerous for the USA - specially if you remember empty phrases like "My honour is called loyalty" from the army of the political party NSDAP.

By the way: Guantanamo is a concentration camp which has to be closed. Why I call it "concentration camp" is not the size or any form of brutality or the innocence of anyone. The problem is the use of laws. Either this people are pows then the international laws for pows have to be used - or they are criminals then the normal US-American laws for criminals have to be used (an alternative could be the laws of their home countries if this are democracies).
