Best weapon for classroom defense?

Let's move on to how you are preparing our kids for life outside of school. From what I see you're not doing a very good job, having completely destroyed the work ethic.

That you, that sleepy wolf right there? See my work schedule. You couldn't do it. Most people could not.

I have been doing it for 27 years and my last evaluation was perfect. I will say that again. Perfect.

We get it. You are excused from defending your students.

I will retire early and give over my classroom to all the people willing to do my job WHILE CARRYING A GUN.

Where's the takers?

To protect the extremists from being better identified and vetted, schools apparently 'need' more defensive measures and personnel. This will be cumbersome and expensive. Perhaps a tax on firearms and ammunition should be considered to pay for it.

Every work day, every one, I teach six classes. 5th grade, kindergarten, 4th. Then lunch, then 3rd, 1st, 2nd. Classes are 45 minutes long. Every day, 150 children, ages 4-11.

You could not do my job for three days put together. Not three put together.

On top of teaching 150 children DAILY, sure, just tote a gun along. No big deal, that's nothing. If you don't think you can do it, on top of teaching kids and chasing special ed kids around the building because they "elope" and stuff, you just don't care about kids enough. See?
I'm very good at whatever I do, so I believe I would make a good teacher as well, even while armed.

So now, I'm to teach children, tote a gun, and instill a work ethic.

Gosh. I wonder why teachers think the public doesn't trust them?

There's likely to be some as a result of these shootings. News at eleven.

Three days put together. That would be about 400 children you would teach at the end of it. RIGHT old man. Right.

I'm pretty organized, and I tend to take over once I learn the job. I also always go above and beyond what is required.

Sue, what time is it where you are? I usually don't get up this early , but I couldn't sleep. How old are you? If I can get a fix on your age I can better tailor my responses to you. Thanks.

You think teaching/managing 150 children a day is a matter of mostly being ORGANIZED?
That's just one of my many skills. I'm also very good with a gun.
I do lack compassion however, and although I have a great sense of humor I am very businesslike in what I do. My forte is solving problems, of which there seems to be a generous supply these days.

What teachers do you imagine are going to conceal carry for an unsupportive public?

Buddy, that ship has sailed. Not one teacher I know--and I'm a conservative--will conceal carry for our modern, untrusting public. Not one.

See, that's the problem with decimating an entire profession. When you ask them to do something risky, they're like, nah, I see you. No way.
I know some who would, and I know YOU need to retire and stop bitching about the job all the damn time.

Okay then you just don't trust us. We get it; we have fully absorbed the message. Believe me. Too late now. We won't arm.
Why do you expect everyone to trust you?

That seems a bit naïve to me.

My dad used a razor strap on us. Made a lot of noise but didn't hurt that much. However, my grandmother used an extension cord on the back of my bare legs. That will make you dance.:omg:
That all explains your posts
