Best weapon for classroom defense?

Why do you expect everyone to trust you?

That seems a bit naïve to me.

Conservatives harken back to the "good old days" when "kids would go home and get twice what the teacher gave out" as far as discipline. There's an example of trusting the teacher. That was the MO for families. Now the MO is that the teacher cannot be trusted and must be questioned.

Ok.

But if you don't trust us, then certainly don't ask us to carry guns around your kid. Seems illogical to me.

I never said anything about teachers carrying guns.

If you all just upgraded doors and windows and keep them locked you'd be doing more to keep students safe than by carrying a gun

That's just one of my many skills. I'm also very good with a gun.
I do lack compassion however, and although I have a great sense of humor I am very businesslike in what I do. My forte is solving problems, of which there seems to be a generous supply these days.

So. You think you are the most important person in the room as the teacher and you "lack compassion".

I take it all back. Don't try teaching.

Agreed. It would certainly minimize fatalities if police could respond appropriately as well.

No worries, I won't. :)

You do understand that the job of the police isn't to protect you, but to apprehend the person that killed you.

Hmmmm...and Uvalde happened because a door that should have locked (on it's own when closed) didn't

So you think that doors, locks or other equipment never needs to be checked to make sure it's in working order?

Do you just drive your car with no maintenance and wait for the engine to blow?

It wouldn't have mattered what kind of firearm the Uvalve shooter used because he was given a free pass to walk in to the building. He could have killed just as many people with a 6 shot .22 pistol

Really?

A six shot .22?

You'll say anything won't you...

Yeah he had free access to the school and unlike the idiot school "safety" officers he knew that locking the fucking doors would keep people out of the room he was in and he had almost an hour to kill as many people as he wanted.

So reloading a revolver wouldn't be a big deal would it?

Sure. Why not? He had time to reload many times in the hour or so that he was allowed to do his thing. He could have used two guns, for that matter.

He has a point. Those teachers and kids would have been just as defenseless against a .22 auto and a half dozen loaded magazines.

You beat me to it.

Don't feel picked on. People today are generally untrustworthy.

What a crock.

The cops wouldn't have been such pussies had it been a six shot .22

But no...it was an assault rifle and they were

Those kids were all dead before the cops even got there

The cops didn't now what weapon he had and those kids were dead before the cops got there
The fuck they didn't.

They saw him before he went into the school...they could hear the reports of gunfire (no one would confuse a .22 with an AR)...and there were reports that they exchanged gunfire with him.

Stop just "saying shit"
